It’s a beer lover place and a neighborhood hang out. Although they keep a few bottles of wine on the menu, for the occasion beer lover’s companion who doesn’t like beer. It is also a bottle shop. the owners are absolutely amazing people.

Thirsty Hop is absolutely unquestionably, unequivocally and definitely amazing. :-) The actual owners — Rachel, Nicole and Steve — are always around and can answer your every question about their beers. The place is modern and cozy at the same time. The people are fun, friendly and personable. It’s such a great place whether you want to rest by a fireplace after a long day at work or to get energized with a nice chat. One can bring any food from outside or order a delivery from the conveniently displayed brochures. They also have theme nights — trivia, pot luck, etc… but no pressure to participate.

This pub is cute and cozy. Tons of selection including lots of bottled options you can take to-go. The sushi/indian joints next door are excellent and both will deliver food to you at the pub. I’ve been here 3 – 4 times and have left happy each time.

Fun place to get a local microbrew on tap. They only serve packages of snacks, so you either can order delivery or bring food in to eat. There is limited seating, though, so groups of more than 4 should plan ahead. There are a few board games and a nice fireplace that give this place an even more inviting feel.

I really like this place! Nice, clean and modern décor with outstanding beers on tap. Every person working here knows their stuff when it comes to the rotating beer selection and can recommend something to suit most anyone’s needs.

What a wonderful group of people! On their first anniversary in business, they were celebrating their patrons instead of themselves. They put so much effort into the evening, including free(delicious, homemade) food, favors, and special awards for regulars. Oh, and the raffle benefited Hopelink, so you can’t do much better than that. Thank you SO much to Thirsty Hop for making our New Year’s Eve so special. And then there’s the beer… you don’t have to visit just because the people are so nice. They have a terrific selection of bottled and on-tap beers that is always changing and always interesting. And they know about what they’re serving; just ask. Whether you want a quick pint or a growler fill, please don’t miss out on this place.

Really comfortable and cozy local pub. The staff is great here; they are always really friendly, kind, and helpful. A lot of the patrons are local regulars, and the staff will get to know you after a couple visits. You can stay for a pint or two, get a growler filled, or choose something to drink or to go from their small but well curated bottle selection. They always have a cider or two on tap, and there isn’t an emphasis on any single type of beer, which means that whether you like pilsners, IPAs, sours or stouts, you should be able to find something that you like. They are championing a few smaller, newer local breweries, like Big Block and Post Doc, but will also have local faves(Reuben’s), beers from other parts of the country(Destihl, Victory) and sometimes European beers(Wittekerke). The bar is long with plenty of stools(and my favorite place to be), but they also have tables and chairs, a couch near a fireplace which is quite cozy, some larger bar tables for bigger groups. They don’t have food(other than some snacks, like chips and CB’s peanuts), but you can bring in food. There’s a Japanese deli /sushi place next door, and several pizza places that will deliver as well including Pagliacci which is right across the street. Overall, this place is a really wonderful neighborhood place. The staff are really lovely, and that’s why we keep coming back!

This is a somewhat strange place. They do not serve food, so it’s all about the beer, but they have a couple of nice food options(such as the excellent neighboring sushi place, and Pagliacci pizza across the street) that will deliver to the pub, and then you can eat there. The beer selection on tap is varied and of high quality, and in addition they have a well-stocked fridge with bottled beers to drink there or take home. The space is a bit sterile, but the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Fine bathrooms, good parking outside. We have been there several times already and will for sure keep returning. I encourage other beer lovers to do the same.

This is the Über tavern of northern Kirkland. You thought that you were in suburban hell with horses, and you are, but rejoice! There is beer! You can get Black Raven and Rubens brews here. Kerblam. Five stars. They do not serve food, but you can have it delivered, or stop next door for some bomb(I’m running with the theme here) kebob.

The taps are always rotating and they have some beer you can’t get anywhere else. They really know their beer. As a matter of fact, I’m headed there right now to fill a growler.

Microsoft Prime: 2015 Hits the spot Ambience: 4 Food:(5) Drinks: 4 Value: 5 Thirsty Hop is fantastic! With that out of the way, let’s dig into the details. It is basically the Malt and Vine of Kirkland, with a couple of differences. It is located in a non-descript strip mall in Kirkland(east of the 405) across from TechCity Bowling(just like M&V), however, the inside is lovely. It’s got sofas around a fireplace, some nice high seat long tables, and a really elegant and clean bar. It is much much better than the simple and draconian indoor seating of M&V; on the flip side M&V has outdoor seating. Win: Thirsty Hop, most of the year. Outdoor seating is awesome for a couple of months during the year(during which, M&V is great, rest of the year… you want a nice indoor setting). Thirsty Hop serves a large selection of local beers on tap; many of which you can also get a growler fill. There’s several coolers of beers with you can buy to take home or to ‘open’ and drink at the bar. The arrangement is pretty much exact like M&V.(If you really really want it, there’s also some wine). The differences are that M&V serves many foreign brews, whereas TH is mostly local. M&V’s selection is bigger, but TH isn’t shabby by any means. But… none of those things really matter, because, most importantly, TH is on Prime, you get 20% your beer! And there’s happy hour daily, which stacks with Prime!(You better get on this fast, cuz they’ve already realized that it’s nuts and will discontinue Prime Card in a couple of months) Win: Thirsty Hop. While neither place has food, their ‘food next door’ selections are both pretty awesome and tough to compare. If you love your Korean fried chicken… M&V and Stone are a must try combo. However, Thirsty Hop has one of the BEST east side sushi places for its ‘next door’. The food is authentic, delicious, well-portioned, and inexpensive. It blows the likes of BlueC and KiKu out of the water, and is even better than Ginza and I Love Sushi. They will come to the restaurant to deliver your food. Win Win Win What does it for us are the sport and TV: 1) Thirsty Hop(and its owner Rachel, who is very cool) actually bothered to have nice big TVs(the TV at M&V is pathetic) with the entire sports package. You can pick up your Mariners and the NBA playoffs there. Plus if no one objects,(and since Rachel is the owner) she’ll put on the sound for you, which is totally awesome. It’s quickly become out go-to spot. Thirsty Hop is fantastic, I’m tempted not to write about it so people won’t swamp it. But Rachel is great and their awesome establishment deserves great props

A great small rose hill gem, located across from tech city bowling. My favorite place for growler fills. Really nice space with a few TVs, comfy fireplace and plenty of board games. The Wunderlust IPA is a great IPA even for non-IPA drinkers, give it a try if it’s on tap. Another nice thing is you can order up some tasty Biryani from Kabab House which goes great with some cold beer.

Thirsty Hop is a new establishment that just dropped into the Redmond location. Its situated in a small«strip mall» area, next to Sen-Deli(Japanese Deli) and the Kabob House. Thirsty Hop replaced the long vacated, closed Tully’s coffee shop. If your looking for a place where you can gather a couple of your friends to hang out, watch a sport’s game, and have some really great beer on tap and bottled, this is the place to be! Just make note they don’t serve«hot» food there. Its mostly booze, aside from some bar snacks. You order food from outside the establishment with menus that they provide, and the restaurant delivers the food to Thirsty Hop. When you first walk into Thirsty Hop, it has a nice, clean, warm, and modern appeal. There are plenty or chairs and tables to sit at, and a long bar with TV’s that display what they have on tap. And of course, of The ladies at the counter are very pleasant and attentive. There is also comfortable leather chairs to sit in next to their fireplace. When you grab a seat, they will have a wide selection of restaurant menus to order from if your hungry for some food with your beer. I usually like to order food from Sen-Deli(Their neighbors next door). I will definitely be returning to hang out, and have a beer and some sushi.

I have been waiting since the summer until they opened because I got a coupon for a free growler fill with the purchase of a pint, and it was coming up on the expiration date. I actually came here twice in one day, Unilocal said they open at 11 on Tuesdays, and as I arrived at 11am on a Tuesday, I was quickly made aware of that they weren’t, as they were closed and their door stated they opened at 1pm. So I went to work out, and then came back around that time. I was the only one there for a good 20 minutes, and then more people started rolling in. It was a cute place, I don’t think it’s as small as some people claim it is. However, I’m not sure how the parking would end up on a busy night, doesn’t seem like there is much. There is a wall full of refrigerated bottled beers, didn’t bother to look at them. The bartender was just opening up, so the tap list wasn’t entirely up yet. There weren’t that many brews available for growlers today, mainly because many of them were seasonal and for valentine’s day. She was really helpful and nice, and I tried a selection of beers before I decided on my pint of Naked City– Charlies’ Golden Ticket, which tasted just like a chocolate bar. And I ended up getting the Snipes Mountain– Dos Borrachos Lager, which was delicious when I sampled it. The beers they had on tap today were all from the west coast, so I don’t know if that’s their thing, or just a coincidence. You can order food from nearby restaurants that will deliver here, and they have menus to order from, just in case. They also have some small bar snacks for purchase… popcorn, chips.etc. Definitely coming back here again. They seem to rotate their beers often, so looking forward to trying some new beers

Ok I was skeptical but this place was awesome! Clean, great service and a big selection of beer! The hardest part was choosing between the 220 beers they had. I really liked the atmosphere. I got she on a couch by the fire and sip my microbrew was I waited out traffic. Sold! I’ll be back(;

It’s a bottle shop and a pub, but mostly a pub. There are about twenty tap handles but only four doors worth of refrigerated bottle storage. They also have Rogue Root Beer as a non-alcoholic beverage on tap. Any of the bottles can be purchased for ‘take-out’ but you can also buy them for ‘dining in’. Maybe I haven’t stayed up-to-date on corkage fees for beer, but I was sort of surprised to see theirs. If you’re buying a six-dollar beer the fee is $ 1. For a nine dollar beer you’ll pay $ 2. A twelve dollar beer will set you back $ 3 in corkage. Seeing that, I thought«Good they’re not selling wine. Not sure I could afford the corkage on a $ 50 wine.» On the plus side, the service was exceeding good, and friendly. And all I had to do was ask a question about one of the beers on tap and a sample magically appeared. You can also order meals from the sandwich shop next door and have them delivered to you at the bar.(Shades of Duck Island/Beth’s!) You can also order from the pizza place across the street, or anyone else who will deliver to Thirsty Hop. This frees them up from the need to have a kitchen, and frees you up to order from wherever. They do have some of the standard bar snacks. If you’re a beer nerd you probably need to stop here. These folks appreciate beer and do their best to have worthy tap handles for you. Despite having a largeish sign, I drove past the place the first time when I was coming from the west. They’re on the northwest corner of 132nd Avenue NE&NE/70th/Old Redmond Road, almost directly across from TechCity Bowl.
