Slowest Denny’s ever. Snailish. Amazingly slow. Not even a lot of customers, just… slow. Had to walk out after 45 mins

The only reason I’m giving them two stars and not one is because the staff was friendly. Someone greeted us, our server was nice and tried his best. But his section was a mess… The floors all around us were covered in straw wrappers and crumbs! I understand it was noon on a Saturday so maybe they had a late breakfast rush… But he took forever to even approach us, they forgot to give us menus, then he took a long time to deliver smoothies and the food took FOREVER. Our server came with half the meal ready because he asked the cooks to remake our pancake portion(he said they went bad). I appreciated his attempt to save our meal, I would have hated to send burnt old pancakes back. However, all in all just not a good experience. Their system needs revamping. Cleanliness is huge in my mind and same for time and delivery!

I have never actually called anyone an idiot before but, I did just that to our waitress. I just could not believe the incompetence. Started out with one waitress and she left to go home. Ok, I understand that normally makes it hard for the new waitress but, we had only ordered our drinks. So, we went over the drink order again. Then we ordered an appetizer, she put that in wrong. OK, no biggie just get our food here. Waited, waited, waited, waited, finally, food shows up. Not ONE person had their food done correctly. Some of it wasn’t even food we ordered??! We had to wait for some of it to be fixed because some of my kids are picky and want what they want. The rest of us just ate what was there. However, I have never heard my husband say what he said about his food ever. He is super easy to please and he could not eat his food it was so disgusting. We ended up being at a Denny’s for just over 2 hours BEFORE I went to pay the bill. Most of us left hungry and all of us were disappointed with our food and service. When it came to check out I didn’t ask for an adjustment for the problems. I just wanted to get out of there. I had a coupon and gave that to the waitress when we checked out. She charged my card 2 times and neither of them had the discount. There was no manager there to fix it and she still did not know how to apply the coupon. She had to call a manager at home to have them walk her through how to void the 2 charges and ring the coupon. Ended up she never could figure the coupon out and I just atm out cash for fear of another charge on my card. She did not even apologize for any of what went wrong. Too bad because normally I am a very generous tipper. By the time I paid the bill we were there for over 2 hours and 30 minutes. My kids were in the mini van watching TV and kept coming in to get me and find out what was taking so long b/c the waitress couldn’t get me checked out. The whole experience was HORRIBLE!

Went in and the service is awful, ordered a skillet breakfast and it had the most awful taste. The server spilled the grease on my clothes. Management did not even come up to apologize. Never coming here again.

I went with the family for breakfast today. Two kids and two adults was over $ 40. Kids got two kids meals with juice and the wife got the Lumberjack Slam with coffee($ 2.65 for coffee?). I tried to do a create your own Slam but was told that the substitutions i wanted couldn’t be done, «the cook won’t do it». I was advised to choose an omelet on the menu and they would«substitute» some ingredients for me. All I wanted was 1 spinach omelet with two slices of bacon. That’s it. I tried to «build» my own Slam by getting the eggs made into an omelet and then choosing two slices of bacon and the server, Brandon, told me that the«cook here, won’t do it». Even though I explained that it would be easy because I didn’t want bread, pancakes, roll, grits, potatoes, etc. All I wanted was 1SPINACHOMELETANDTWOSLICESOFBACON! As an aside, I’ve never been to a restaurant where I was told flat out«No». I’ve been told, «that’s extra» or «we’re out of that» but never just no. Or, «no, the cook won’t do it»? Really? The cook has an issue modifying the menu or swapping ingredients? It’s Denny’s, their corporate office dictates the menu, not the cook. It was such a weak lie that I can only attribute it to our server’s lack of experience. And, I’m sure our server was actually told that by the other wait staff. He honestly believed that was the appropriate response. Someone told him that. So, I ordered the Ham and cheese omelet and I was told that the ham could be swapped with the spinach. About an hour later our food arrived and all our orders were wrong to some degree. Not to mention, our drink orders were taken TWICE and it still took 20 minutes for them to get our drinks to the table. This was around 10 am and there were only three other tables in our area and one had already been served. The other two came in after us. The entire restaurant was less than half full. Our waiter, Brandon, was new and it showed but everyone starts somewhere and that wasn’t an issue. What was an issue was the more experienced waitresses seemed to only come by and ask about our service for the purpose of making Brandon look bad. They offered no real help to him or us. Trying to make the new guy look bad? Not hard at all, real classy. We were seated promptly but that was the only prompt service that we got. And, every single change(or substitute) was charged to us. On top of that, after making such a big deal of my requests they fouled up their end. My omelet had maybe two or three pieces of spinach and it still had the ham in it. I don’t have a problem with ham, but the whole point of ordering is to get what you want. You order what you want, they bring it to you and you pay them for their service/product. Then you tip accordingly. I’m not a miser or stingy person, I tip well when I’m served well and I don’t set the bar exceedingly high. The day before we were at Cheddars, down the road, and I tipped the waitress 30%. It’s Christmas week after all, and she gave good service. Today I left Brandon $ 3. My wife was against it but the majority of my complaints weren’t with him but the establishment over all. I felt like he deserved something but $ 3 was all I could justify to myself. And the bathroom is/was filthy. Needless to say, I will not return. I wouldn’t go back for a free meal and anyone that takes the time to read this and visits… well, you’ve been warned. The food tasted fine.

The only reason they got one star is because i cant put zero stars. I don’t know where to start the service was terrible the food was less then mediocre. We have been here for an hour and a half. Also the cashier had potty mouth.

I just walked in to eat, made a visit to the bathroom first and so glad I did… I needed the warning. The bathroom was so gross and stinky! Layers of grime and filth on the floor, just unbelievable. Lost my appetite. No chance I’m eating here.

Slow to seat(despite ample seating available) Slow to serve(despite not being very busy). A poorly managed restaurant. There are better options in the area.

The people are welcoming and the place is pretty much clean, however the wait is too, too long. I have been here with my husband about three times after that we didn’t come back no more. Actually one time he was so hungry and he got upset for the long wait that we left I guess you can say we been here only twice then. Anyway waiting for the table was long and then waiting to order once we were sitting was long, but once our food came to the table it all be gone within seconds. The food taste great always hot and fresh, and a nice quantity of it. So as long you don’t mind waiting for a long time this place is great. Cheers.
