Eve’s Alterations

We took a brand new dress, regular size, my wife uses a petite and the back was not flush with my wives back. My wife and I liked the dress so we thought of trying an alteration to get it the way she liked. After asking, and trying the dress at shop. Eve the owner, claimed she could fix it. First: she has another seamstress do the work, it is not her. Next she denies all she told us, and justifies other reasoning. I told her all she had to do is tell us she couldn’t do it. She told us she will not do that kind of job going forward, and claimed it took her seamstress 2 hours. As a seamstress you would think she could do that type of work. The job was to take up both shoulder straps. When finished one strap was wider than opposite side. I told her, job was not to our satisfaction. She told us, will there is other customers that were happy with her work. She was trying to use me and my wife against each other also. I am glad my wife stood up to her, telling her the dress was worst than we bought it in to her. We still paid the $ 16 she charged us, and minimized the argument. But I told her I will write a review, which were few (3) to warn other customers to be careful of what they bring her, because she and her seamstress can not handle the job. I seen 4 ½ stars on
and was looking forward to the dress being done right and her making claims she could do it for us. She may be able to put zippers on pants, like a 5 star. I gave a star, because you cannot write a review without a least putting a star. I want to warn customers. I would give her no stars and definitely will not go back.

I love Eve at Eve’s Alterations. She has done custom work for me and at very reasonable prices. If you have any need for a seamstress, Eve is your lady!

The only tailoring shop in Kissimmee!
We took in my Hawaiian dress that came from Hawaii but was completely the wrong size.
I explained that I thought the dress could be shortened and the extra material used to enlarge the dress on the sides and bust.
Not only did Eve alter the dress to fit but the seams were finished so as to not ravel, but she tapered the panel to keep the A line style if the dress.
She saved me a very expensive return!
Well be taking my husband’s new tuxedo for alterations next!

I’ve only sought her services to replace a zipper, but she was very polite and her prices are fair. She works within Esquire Men’s Clothing and I will go to her again if the need arises. You can only tell the zipper was replaced in the jeans because I opted for the heavy duty zipper. She even matched the hot pink stitching on my favorite pair of jeans. I’m very impressed with her work and that she was very welcoming. She would have a 5-​star review but I’ve only had the one minor bit of work done.
