Came here with my family once, after my parents had tried it on their wedding anniversary and SWORE that it was beyond amazing. So, what the hell, I thought I’d give it a try, being the Chinese food connoisseur that I am. Had to admit, the setup of creating your own bowl is pretty cool, had a bit of a Chipotle feel, but unfortunately the food is the kind that you either love or hate… No in between… And it was a complete miss for me. Kinda like Panda Express, it has a peculiar gourmet Chinese food taste, but unfortunately not one that I liked. I was only able to eat like 25% of my meal and not much else, and my husband – boyfriend at the time– did the same, and this guy will eat ANYTHING. Cool vibe, pretty trendy and all, but Sorry… Just wasn’t for me.

I love Pei Wei. I have been a fan for years and when trying to figure out what to eat for dinner while out of town on business, I chose them over Moe’s(not quite a fan). I had my usual… Mongolian Trio with fried rice. It was great as usual. I tried the Spring Roll… a little oily for my taste. My daughter had the pork egg roll and it was sitting in grease in the little bag. Not very appetizing either. I know that you are reading this and wondering why the 4 stars. If the spring and egg roll was not oily, this would have been a 5 star review. I will definitely eat at Pei Wei again. More than likely it will be my local one as opposed to one that is out of town.

I love Pei Wei for it’s great noodle bowls and this location is no exception! There is always ample seating, a clean environment and friendly staff. This location also benefits from prime space in the Loop shopping area, which means plenty of opportunities to shop when grabbing bite! I appreciate that all entrees can be made with Vegetables and Tofu, my go to protein!

If you’ve never been to Pei Wei it is the fast food version of PF Changs. PF Changs was my favorite restaurant when I was in college. I was there basically every week so I was super excited when I heard about Pei Wei. The great thing about Pei Wei is that you can get some of the things that you love from PF Changs such as lettuce wraps, dan dan noodles, spicy chicken, and Mongolian beef. The bad news, at least for me, is that they alter the recipes a bit by adding surplus vegetables that I don’t want. What I always appreciated about PF Changs was that it was Chinese food where protein was the star. What I get so frustrated about with take out Chinese is that you order beef with broccoli and there are 3 pieces of beef and the rest broccoli. Unfortunately, there is a bit of that going on here. They add mushrooms to the Mongolian beef. They add peppers to the spicy chicken. It’s not the end of the world, and of course you can order without, but as a picky foodie I always appreciate when I can order and enjoy something exactly as it is. While I can totally do that at Changs, it is not the case here. Additionally, I feel like the food is a little milder here than at Changs. We ordered the Thai Dynamite chicken the other day and it wasn’t even remotely spicy. It had a spicy symbol and has dynamite in the name. That was kind of a disappointment. This particular location was having issues with their freestyle machine. I don’t drink soda or caffeine so I was super excited that they had a freestyle. I love Strawberry Light Lemonade. However, both machines were out of lemonade and despite my going to tell them no one ever came out to fix it. This was the whole reason for ordering a drink. We ended up trying the Citrus Green Tea which wasn’t so bad, but it was frustrating that no one ever fixed the machine. Overall, I would say it is above average Chinese takeout.

Horrible. From soup to noodle. Panda Express is better than this place. Few years ago it was fine. I can’t even finish my dinner tonight. Peanut butter and jam at home taste better than this.

I’ve never been in one of these even though it is a popular chain in FL. Food was yummy, restaurant was very clean, and the pie olé were super nice and friendly. It’s a pretty cool setup where you choose your sauce, protein, etc to have your dish custom made. It’s nice to be in a friendly environment where everyone seemed to be working hard and doing a good job. =)

The food at PEI Wei is pretty good and really consistent! Whenever your craving Asian food but don’t want to really go on a journey of whether or not your local mom/pop Asian restaurant is good, then you are going to be safe here. It is a chain restaurant so don’t really expect something out of this world! I have to admit that the price is good, the portions are great. The«small» portion is a great size and you will leave the restaurant feeling pretty full. The soda machine has hundreds and hundreds of flavors for you to choose from(if you’re into soda). Overall, this is a great chain restaurant with good, affordable and good portioned food.

Pretty good for what it is; fast asian food. Don’t compare it to Tasty Wok on E Colonial, though.

The food is usually okay. Wish they were more consistent. Not that it’s bad but it’s just not the same when you are expecting something each time you order the same dish. Ordered sushi a couple of times but I’ll do that next time I’m in an actual sushi place. Tables are sometimes sticky so I have to take time to let them know or simply get a handful of napkins and wipe it down myself. Oh well, guess tips not required ‘coz there’s really no real service involved dining here.

It used to be good. Quality has gone down significantly, I’m not planning on ever returning. If you are looking for the PF Chang’s experience(or flavor), you will be extremely disappointed. I ordered the Mongolian beef, sent it back, it was way too salty; staff«fixed» it, this time was just poor(the steak was chewy, not from good cuts of meat and it was drowned in what seemed to be some type of teriyaki sauce). It was the worse dish I’ve had there. I honestly thought it would be similar to PF Chang’s, but hell no, very far from it. If you crave Chinese, just go to your local place, you may be somewhat dissatisfied but I’m sure you’ll end up paying a lot less, plus your local place will deliver.

I’d give them less but they make me at least put one. The service is poor but the food is worse. The noodles are so overly cooked they dissolve in your mouth if not already smushed on your plate. The taste is sub par and everything came out cold. You’d think it was because they’re extremely busy but, the crowd is slim. I might understand why. Definitely not standard for Pei Wei.

Menu change. Order totally not what we wanted and asked for. Left food on table. We were regular customers. Now, No way are we coming back.

I’m fan of Pei Wei!!! But today what a bad experience, this is the worst location ever. The restaurant is very dirty all over, same think with the restrooms so I don’t want to imagine how dirty is the kitchen. The service is very slow and the employees don’t know nothing about costumer service and now the portions of food are much smaller than usual. We spent like an hour and nobody came to the table next to us and clean it. All the employees walk around the tables and the don’t care about the napkins, straws, paper tickets, silverware, etc on the floor. Hopefully this location hire a good manager to take care of this store.

This place has delicious food I have been here 3 times and the food is amazing. The wait time is short and the service is outstanding. I had the Thai Dynamite with crispy chicken and shrimp Sriracha chile sauce, soy fresh lime, scallions, red bell peppers, carrots, Thai basil. It was delicious one of my favorite a must try if you go. Another delicious meal is the Pad Thai Thai sweet and sour sauce, tofu, bean sprouts, scallions, egg, crushed peanuts, lime, cilantro, rice noodles. Clean, Outstanding Service and Awesome food!

One of my favorite healthy dining options around… And the best Thai Wonton Soup there is. I don’t ever waiting for my food because I know it is being made fresh to order and going to be brought hot to my table. My usual go to is Teriyaki Chicken over white rice but today I went with a newer menu item and I think this may be my new favorite and that is the Teriyaki Crunch Roll. I even went as far as attempting to use chop sticks to eat and I was relatively successful… I was not disappointed with the food or the service… The food was fast and fresh and delicious down to the drizzle of spicy mustard and delicately sliced ginger topping my sushi… It won’t be long before I am back…

I Always enjoy stopping here and having a delicious meal with the family. Crab wontons are great and we tried the Mongolian beef sushi, which was different but very enjoyable. Staff is friendly and helpful great place!

The service was awful! There were 5 cooks in the kitchen so I don’t understand what took so long. My husband got his food about 10 minutes after we sat down. The person who brought it didn’t say anything about my food. 20 minutes later one of the employees tried to drop off the order for the table next to us. He almost walked away when I said I was waiting on my food. Ironically, it miraculously appeared 2 minutes later. He did not even apologize. With all the restaurant options in the area we won’t be returning there any time soon.

Food quality is delicious! Crab wontons taste amazing. Actual meals, the kitchen is backed up. So we wait. Cleanliness of restaurant is a bit dirty. They are busy, but tables aren’t being wiped down, trash is sitting at tables and there was little places to sit down. We sat at a dirty table and had to wait for it to be cleaned. Once cleaned the man apologized. Biggest complaint is over near the drink machines and silverware stand, the ground is covered in standing water and ice. Many people have almost slipped and fell while getting their drinks. It’s definitely a tripping hazard. The right coke machine spits ice at you.

My husband and I eat her a lot… Partly because it’s a cheaper version of delicious PF Changs. I always get the Mongolian Beef with brown rice and it is great! They have a new«small» portion, which I tried on this visit. Unless you just want a little taste of something I would cough up the extra bucks for the regular portion because they give you next to no meat. We also tried the new sushi rolls which tasted like they had been prepared and refrigerator long before our order. Not worth the money! Try the edamame which is great or the spicy edamame for an added kick. Their crab rangoons are also delicious! I would put that sauce on cardboard and it would taste good! Don’t go during peak lunch or dinner times, you’ll wait for a while, but it’s a solid choice for a yummy meal on the go.
