Publix where you go to avoid Walmart! Everything feels clean and organized. From the moment you enter you see the higher quality! Although not as stacked and big as other supermarkets you can be confident that you will find everything you need at a decent price, fresh and clean. although some things are a bit pricier that Walmart the extra quality and freshness of products makes up for it,

I was spending the night in the area with a friend in town on vacation. We did not feel like going out to eat so we decided to go to Publix to pick up some prepared foods for dinner. We were in the mood for seafood and decided to get crab legs from the seafood department. I knew other grocery stores would season and steam the crab legs but I had no clue that Publix did as well. It was our luck that the crab legs were on sale. The gentleman in the seafood department seasoned the crab legs with Old Bay for us and carefully packaged them to avoid spills. We picked up some other items to create a full meal and headed back to the hotel. This Publix was clean and well organized. This location also has a prepared foods department which includes a salad and hot foods bar along with a seating area for dining in house. The staff was courteous and helpful as expected. My visit to this store reinforced why I love Publix stores so much.

I do love the old school feel of the markets. Reminds me of when I was growing up with markets such as Luckys and Ralph’s back before they became more impersonal. My dislike is associated with pricing being less competitive.

Who doesn’t love Publix. Their customer service is always great. Several times when something is on a BOGO such as bolt house drinks I have ordered cases and its never been a problem with special orders. The woman who prepares the sushi is amazing. I happen to love sushi but hate the seaweed so she make it for me with rice paper instead. She goes above and beyond and it is always so flippin’ good. Mike the store manager knows his stuff. He has been with Publix for several years now as he used to be the manager in the Poinciana store and the store on Boggy Creek Road. Everyone in the store is always polite as in most Publix’s but at this store everyone seems like they really mean it. The one complaint if any negative I would have is in the deli department. There never seems to be enough help. Either everyone who is working there is making subs or cutting meat for subs it seems. There always seems to be someone in the back kitchen area doing something other then helping the customers waiting for cold cuts. It gets annoying when you are waiting for cold cuts to be sliced and you watch people come in after you walk up to the sub line get served before you and you are still waiting. Has to be a better system to serve the next in line apposed to which person behind the counter is assigned to work where. The parking lot is never dirty or backed up with carts. The pharmacy personnel are always helpful to answer whatever questions I have about medicines and its a great place to get your flu shot. I husband hate needles and his the first one each year to stay lets go to Publix for our shots. The layout of this store also just makes sense as to the location of items. Would never think to go to another store unless this one was out of what I needed. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars and the only reason is the deli department. If they could figure out how to service the next customer in order than it would be perfect and a 5 star plus.

I must express my experiences with Jennifer Odonnell, the pharmacist at Publix #1408, Partin Village. She is a rude and unhelpful person who blunt lies to her customers. I highly recommend staying away from her pharmacy. Today my mother in law needed to fill a prescription and was paying out of pocket, so she wanted to use a drug discount card she has. Jennifer told her that her store does not take any discount cards except the Publix ones. The funny part about this is that a few months ago my wife had the same problem with Jennifer, we called corporate Publix and we were assured that all stores take all drug discount cards and that Jennifer would be spoken to about this. The second that I walked up to her to question about why she wouldn’t let my mother in law use a discount card she responded immediately with«oh I remember you, you called corporate on me». That’s right, no hello, no explanation, just a rude comment. In the end we went to another Publix down the road and filled the prescription with the discount card with absolutely no problems, questions, or hesitations. While I love that Publix in every other aspect their pharmacist should be fired. Upon my previous complaint to corporate I was told that she had many complaints against her and to let them know if she ever gave us problems again. Well you can bet that on Tuesday I will be doing just that. Lying to customers and overcharging them is just wrong on so many levels. It hurts the store when people can’t trust them and I cannot imagine the number of people on fixed incomes that pay out of pocket for prescriptions that she has lied to and overcharged. Beware of Jennifer Odonnell if you ever need a prescription medication!

I needed shower curtains, coat hangers, and a greeting card. Also stamps and a lotto ticket, and most importantly, floss. They had it all. Early morning is nice. There’s no one shopping and four employees asked me if I needed help when it was check out time. Usually I’m not a big fan of Pubelix, but this experience was all right with the Za.
