Now that the summer has ended, so has Frozen Summer Fun Live. They have now closed down Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Wandering Oaken’s Frozen Funland which were in two separate building in Pixar Place. Luckily, for those of us who love all things Frozen, they have combined the two, moved it to one of the now vacant Backlot Tour buildings, and changed the name to Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Frozen Funland. The main thing you will notice missing is the ice rink. You’ll still find the refreshment area with Frozen specialty treats like Anna, Elsa, and Olaf cupcakes, and special frozen drink in an Olaf cup. The«snow» area is remains where you can build your own snowman. Be careful… it’s slippery! =) There’s also still the gift shop where you can find just about anything Frozen you can think of. They are still selling the three Limited Release Magic Bands(Anna, Elsa, and Olaf), and they have now added a 5000 Limited Edition Olaf Magic Band. I made sure to get my Limited Edition Olaf Magic Band asap! Kind of like the pins, I don’t care so much for the Disney Limited Release merchandise as it is not going to be worth all that much in the future. It’s always the Limited Edition merchandise that has the potential to be worth a great deal in the future. Even now, you can look on eBay and see the ridiculous amount of money the LE bands are going for. I did purchase the three LR bands because I love Frozen so much, but before you go shelling out a ton of money, make sure you understand the difference between Limited Release and Limited Edition… For whatever reason, some people just can’t seem to grasp the different concept between LR and LE. This entire building is very cold; it’s a nice reprieve from the Florida heat. The heat isn’t quite so bad now that we’re in the middle of October, but we do still have some very hot days. If you’re at Hollywood Studios, make sure to head over here to shop, play in the«snow» for a while, or enjoy a snack. It’s really a cool(pun intended) place to check out! PS: Many of the photos posted pre-October 2014 are no longer accurate.

This is a «Must Visit» if you want to escape the heat or rain, especially if you have kids younger than teens. It is well air conditioned with places to sit. For an extra ten bucks, you or your kids can ice skate for 30 minutes. We visited twice during our week at Disneyworld. They even have an area filled with snow where you can build s snowman !
