April, 2016. Ate there for dinner on a weekend evening. Seems that they are only open for dinner. We ordered their mixed grille platter, aloo gobi, chicken vindaloo and an order for nan bread. All three platters come with basmati rice. The food was good except the tandoori style chicken legs in the mixed grill platter to me seemed undercooked. I brought it to their attention and they took the legs away. I thought they were either going to give me two other legs or just cook those a bit more. But they didn’t do either… after a 15 minute wait I decided to remind them of the legs and he told me that since it will take an hour and a half to make a new batch that they would not charge me for that platter. Other than that, the rest of the food was good. Decent portions and taste on par with Indian restaurants I am familiar with up in NYC. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. I would go again.

Food was great. My girlfriend had Chicken Tikka Masala and I had Chilly Chicken. Both items were excellent. Waitress was very attentive and food was ready promptly. We recommend this to anyone who wants good authentic Indian food in the Kissimmee area. We would definitely go back when we’re in town again.

This restaurant appeared clean and nicely decorated. Our waiter was quick and efficient but I have to say he was very serious… a smile or two would have been welcome. The food was freshly prepared and served hot. Samosas were quite good. We are vegetarian, so ordered aloo palak and dal, medium spice. Both were pretty bland. Dal definitely needed salt. The puris also needed salt and I think the oil that they were fried in needed to be changed. However, they were served piping hot and nicely puffed. Lassis were good; not too sweet and nice and cold. Prices are rather high considering taste and size of servings. Not a bad experience… maybe we’ll give them a second try… not sure.

Food was good. Service was perfect. Ordered dal makhni and paneer pakodas. And onion kulcha. Dont know why reviews are bad.

What is up with this place? This place is close to my work so I decided to give it a shot. I was hesitant due to the number of negative reviews but the few reviews mentioning an everyday lunch buffet pulled me in. It was a little after noon and the doors were open. There was two tables full of Indian people on each side of the door, but that was it. I looked and saw there was no buffet. Nobody said a word either. That was strange, they all just stared at me like I didn’t belong there. Needless to say, I won’t be back. It appears hey’ve removed the«Wawa» part from their name as all the signage just read«taste of India». Do yourself a favor and drive the extra couple miles down 192 to «taste of Punjab» — One of, if not the best Indian food I’ve had in Florida.

We tried to go for lunch, but despite posted hours that they are open at lunch, the restaurant was not open and the employee inside was rude and unapologetic about being closed.

My husband and I both enjoyed our chicken tika masala. Very authentic and cooked from scratch(took a little bit of time before getting our meal but it was worth the wait).

This is delicious authentic Indian food. It Appears to be family owned and run. The staff members were all charming and gave that extra touch in food quality and service. I highly recommend this place.

Sometimes you come across an amazing meal, that’s perfectly cooked and delicious. Wawa Curry was not one of these places. When I got the Mixed Grilled Tandorri Chicken, we found a long piece of hair. The service here was beyond horrible. We told the manager there and she wasn’t paying attention at all. She so casually said she will just get another piece of chicken. I would not recommended this place to anybody.

Walked inside the restaurant, and waited for a host or anyone to come talk to me so I could get seated. After 5 minutes of employees ignoring me and passing right past me as if I was invisible, I decided to leave the place. Was a big waste of my lunch break driving there and waiting for nothing.

Great food. Order mild if spices busy. Buffet in day. Great for groups. See photos … Even the kids cleared their plates.

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic. We live in Jacksonville and come to Orlando often due to the amazing selection of restaurants. We found this restaurant to be excellent in every way including service, taste, and food quality. The food is was spicy per my request. We are Indian by heritage and are very picky about the quality of Indian restaurants. We found the food to be extremely flavorful and authentic. The food was also fresh and not overly oily by any means. The owner was there and really truly made us feel at home. Server it was very personable efficient. This will be without a bout, our go-to Indian restaurant in Orlando.

I went to this location while on vacation in Orlando, FL. The management is great. The food was good. Cons: Mango chutney was not placed in the bag and did not double check to ensure all the ordered items were in the bag. Needless to say I have to take off for that.

We happened onto this lovely place while looking for one of the advertised steakhouse in the area, deciding to go for Indian food instead. We were graciously hosted by the owners. What a gem! Delicious and authentic curries and chutney, Naan and Kulchi and Masala Chai. Chicken Tikka Masala, Muttai Paneer, Onion Kulcha we’re real standouts. A bargain and we’d come back again whenever we are in the area!

I would have ordered tonight if I have had a menu to look out for my take-out order! I hate calling and wasting both our time when I don’t know what to order. Please, fix this! It’s as simple as taking a picture of the menu and posting it from a smartphone, etc…

Didn’t actually eat here — so just offering a tip for potential diners — we visited at 1:00PM on a Saturday, based on the fact that the restaurant’s website says they have a daily lunch buffet. The buffet was nonexistent — we were told the buffet only runs during certain seasons and they weren’t sure when it would be back.

I really really loved the food… We’re from out of town and we were looking for a place to eat(Indian) we looked at the reviews and it was all negative so I told my husband let’s just try it. The prices are a little high I will say they should have some specials for lunch and the place is quiet. You don’t get all the attention all tho I will say TRYITYOURSELF!!! We also try taste of Punjab it was the same price and we just didn’t like it it was ok …(From our opinion). We’re from out of state we eat a lot of Indian food and so far this is one of my favor places. Taste home made. So try it!!!

Very great place to eat. The owner make you eat in the dark, but try the puff bread it is good… Better than the Taste Of Punjab

We were in a rush for lunch and didn’t want to drive the extra 5 minutes to Punjab so went to the closer Indian place to the office. Meh, never again. Walked in and the place was pretty empty except for owner?/waiter and someone else sitting at a table. We sat and he brought us menus but we noticed they seemed to be dinner menus. We asked if they had lunch specials or a lunch menu and he kinda scoffed at us and said that he can give us 20% off the prices listed for lunch. After a few more sentences he mentioned something about lunch being $ 9 or $ 10. There was a lot to choose from and I think I had the chicken koorma. The food came and it was decent but all you get is rice, naan, and the entrée. We weren’t impressed with the service and trying to pay was another adventure. For less money, you get more food at Punjab down the street. Service is a lot friendlier too. One and done with this place.
