Someone had recommended Kittery Eye and I can tell you it was a good experience. To the staff and the doctor, I was treated well.

I moved to Maine last year from Venice Beach CA & had to find new doctors, dentist, etc. It has been a nerve wracking experience to be sure! I was recommended to Dr Kevin Webb at Kittery Eye by the front office manager at my new dentist’s office who has been going to him for years. Although going to Kittery from my home in Wells is a fine drive, I was thrilled to find out that they just opened an office in Wells. I saw Dr Webb who provided an extremely through exam. He was gentle & very kind. I had a few questions & concerns & Dr Webb took plenty of time to listen & explain answers. The front office staff was fantastic making me feel welcome. I left feeling great not only about my eyes but also about my experience with Dr Webb & his exceptional team. I’m glad I found them & will happily return.

My wife and daughter have both been customers so when I needed my eyes looked at where else would I go? I am a huge customer service snob so when I give a 5 star review they earned it. First I am not a fan of doctors, I get nervous. From walking through the door to choosing my glass everyone was great. The Dr explained every test to me prior and was just a good guy. The service over all from calling for appointment to paying for my new glasses could not have been better. I mean I can not think of a thing to give a 4.9 rating. When it comes to the Seacoast either the eye business or any other this place gets it. Good thing for them I am confident at some point I will loose or break my glasses so I will be back, and that is good for me also. Thank you.

I have been going to Kittery Eye for many years and have always had good experiences. Appointments are made easily and usually you are seen on or whitin a few minutes of your scheduled time. Dr. Turner is an exceptional surgeon and my eye care couldn’t be in better hands than with Dr. Karen Day-​Healy. And if you need glases, Kim is very knowledgeable and attentive during the process.

I have been going to Kittery Eye for 10 years, the experience is always as pleasant as possible. They have always taken great care of me, my eyes and my eye glasses. The service is very personable and I feel they are a facility with carrying staff members.

Had my first eye visit here and it was great. The doctor was kind, thorough, and helpful. The lady helping me with lenses was fantastic, and provided transparent pricing. We will still compare prices and go with the lowest organization, but the customer service was phenomenal.

I had been wearing contacts and they kept drying out FAST. Eyes were always bothering me and I used so much eye drops I could taste it. I think friend were under the impression «it wasn’t my contacts» :) WHICH IT WAS … I called Kittery Eye Care and made an appointment. The doctor was SPOT ON with what I needed. Worked with me, explained how the new contacts would work and why the ones I was using did not. I actually ENJOY wearing contacts now and couldn’t be happier.
They have a good selection of glasses and I have bought 1 pair there that I still wear (years later).
There is a comment about being talked down to, while that didn’t happen there is a male worker there that could use a little help in the «smile and be friendly» department BUT the overall staff IS friendly and helpful.

Need an optometrist? I have the man for you: Dr. Stan Shapleigh at Kittery Eye. Before he gets to business, we talk, check in. He makes you feel like an old friend. He is competent and thorough and just a darn good guy. The counter staff smile. That shouldn’t be earthshaking, but it is very nice to be greeted by friendly people. I have been going to Stan for 25 years and I’ll be coming back for more.

I had an excellent experience at Kittery Eye this week. They were quick to get me an appointment when I called and accepted my military insurance, for which I’m very appreciative. Every staff member that I interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and Dr. Lowe was great! I received a coupon to use towards my contacts and it was actually a very good deal! I will definitely be a regular patient!

Dr. Webb was recommended to me by a co-​worker and I was very happy with him. He is very nice and was very thorough with my eye exam, never rushing and answered all my questions. It was easy to make an appointment and they email you to confirm your appointment and send you any paperwork. The reception staff were all nice although the woman who was checking people out was on the phone the whole time although it did seem to be with a patient and it turned out I really didn’t actually need to speak with her anyways. I would recommend Dr. Webb to others.

I called Kittery Eye yesterday after my fiancé had an eye injury at work. We were sent upstairs and downstairs twice and each time no one knew who had sent us there. After running into the same receptionist twice, she said to us «It’s probably because no one wants to do the paperwork.» then sent us away again. Another receptionist asked us if we «even know what the difference between an optometrist and an ophthalmologist» was, like we were imbeciles, «Because they are different, you know» (exact quote). We ended up leaving without being helped at all.
