We actually live closer to the Jones Sausage Rd. location but continue to drive to Knightdale because the food here is ALWAYS fresh. Great service! Fresh food! Best one around.

Friendly, great staff, and nice atmosphere. The food was ok more of a fried chicken resturants than in bbq. Hush puppies were AWESOME!

Great food and service. I stop by the Knightdale location once a week and really enjoy the southern BBQ, shrimp and hush puppies. Everyone is extremely friendly, the drive-​thru service is very quick and the food is very affordable. My only recommendation would be for them to provide better signage. Unless you’re familiar with Knightdale or drive inside the shopping center/​parking lot area where they are located, it’s very easy to miss if you’re driving by on Knightdale boulevard.

I am a former vegetarian who grew up in NH. So… Take my word when I tell you the food here (especially the pork BBQ, which doesn’t even exist in NH) is awesome. I always get a plate but have my sandwich «broken down» meaning not on a bun. AND in place of the bun, I ask for hush puppies. They will do this for free, at any location. But, make sure the person ringing you up doesn’t charge you for a «side» of hush puppies… They will and often do, until I point it out. They also have great sweet tea… Lastly, be sure to ask for their «red sauce» to try on the BBQ. Overall, I REALLY wish there was one in Mooresville, NC! Always friendly people, fresh food and served fast!

Yeah. I would rather eat at cookout. The BBQ wasn’t bad. But not worth the $ 11. At all. The potato salad was yummy and they have vinegar on the tables. The staff was nice and accommodating. Not worth the drive to knightdale. But if I’m in the area again I would stop by. Maybe.

Great food at a great price. The staff is always friendly. I always get good using the drive-​thru and it’s always quick and accurate. I really love their BBQ sandwich, hush puppies, and banana pudding.

I’m a tourist and I like the vinegar & red pepper sauce typical of Eastern Carolina BBQ Did I mention hush puppies? Sooo different than what I can get in my neck of the woods. I always trust places that have Texas Pete as a condiment. It’s a chain, but I like it. I plan my vacation drive just so I can eat here. Oh and there’s a drive thru, too.

This place holds some memories from my childhood. Every summer going to North Carolina to the beach, we always went to Smithfields. And now that it’s been some years (I’m talking like 13 years).
So when I knew I was coming to Raleigh for a visit. I knew we had to stop.
Great BBQ sandwiches with the vinegar sauce, and hushpuppies… I CAN’T! ahha

Really good NC BBQ! I especially loved the pulled pork with the house sauce– real NC style w/​vinegar and spice. Worth the quick drive from the highway!
