Tequila Jalisco Mexican Restaurant

Me and my husband went there for the first time for dinner last night, food was pretty good def the best I have had out here in the Midwest but what ruined it for us was the service! It sucked! Our food probably took 45 min and it wasn’t even busy. The waitress kept going to every other table but ours multiple times and never came to check on us, we had empty glasses and no chips probably for about 10 minutes and we had to flag another waiter down and ask him if we could get a refill. Our waitress literally only took our order and brought us the bill (which we had to ask for) she asked if we needed a box and I said yes, she never came back with it I watched her stand and chit chat at a table for over 5 min, we had to ask someone else for the box (go figure) I would say we where disappointed with the service since I had read such great reviews, don’t know if we will be back anytime soon.

Best restaurant in the area. It’s not pricey, and they pile food on your plate. And the food is fantastic! Probably the best Mexican food I’ve had away from Southern California. 5 stars!

I really enjoyed my time at this place. The staff was nice and food great. I’m from the west so I’m very excited to have a place that can remind me of home. My portions where large without being overwhelming and so are the kids meals.
If you want a great place to take the family I very strongly recommend here. Great staff, clean restaurant, friendly, amazing food (would like a little more spice)

Tasty chips and salsa! One of my favorite items on the menu is the quesadilla special. It is chorizo filled. I absolutely love chorizo and theirs is really tasty and they fill the quesadilla up! Very good prices, quick service, its definitely my go to Mexican restaurant in the area.

This place is about as good as it gets for Mexican food in the Midwest. Fresh, tasty food and a super friendly staff. My personal favorite meal is the steak chile verde, but I have yet to try something I didn’t like at all there. On the other hand, I only gave it 4 stars because there is nothing that really just blows me away. Well worth going to if you’re in the mood for some good Mexican food.

Chicken rio bravo is amazing. First Mexican restaurant where I haven’t gotten sick after. Very good prices and the food is good every time.

Looking for some authentic mexican food? You have found it. We make a yearly trip to Lake of the Ozarks and will leave a day early to stay at Laci’s Country Inn and eat here! Thursday is margarita night and Laci’s is 400 ft away! Enjoy!

This place never disappoints. Prices are real good. Service is real good. Food/​portions are real good. And the margaritas are amazing. Only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because of the salsa that comes out with the chips. Kind of watery.

Cheap, super fast for weekday lunch, large dining room, and everything I wanted in Chile Relleno. Will definitely be back.

Most of the locals call this place TJs rather than by its full name. I would say it’s by far the most popular restaurant in town. We go maybe once a month but there are plenty of people who go every week. Without a doubt the service is the best part. The servers are always friendly and they work really hard. Even though I don’t consider myself a regular our servers always remember that we order a pitcher of Dos Equis.
Unless you go with something individual like a tamale or taco you will likely bring part of your meal home. The portions are very large.
Even with the portion sizes prices are very reasonable. We don’t eat out that often but for us this is usually our go to place.

There is not one thing on the menu that I don’t like! Close your eyes, point and order. You wont be disappointed!

Another local favorite everyone calls it TJ’s. The staff is very nice the food was awesome and very cheap it’s a really good Mexican restaurant found in the middle of Missouri. The place is very clean and very nice. The food is excellent and fast. Very popular with the Air Force Base personnel.

Amazing place! I’m from California so I’ve had my fair share of good Mexican food but oh my god is this place delicious! And they are dirt cheap! I believe drinks are free (and they come in a huge glass). I get the taco salad and it comes in a huge crispy taco bowl! And my god is it to die for! And you get free chips and salsa!

Had the chicken quesadilla. Very flavorful. Fun environment, though the exterior of the building might make you wonder.

I love this place. Great menu but I always get the same thing every time I go. It’s either fajita nachos or pollo Jalisco plate. They serve chips and salsa for free as well.

Wow, this place was busy on a Saturday night. There really aren’t many sit-​down restaurant options in Knob Noster. We had a long wait for a mexican joint, but were feeling patient. He could have checked in us a little sooner as we were out of chips and I would have had another margarita during the wait, but I was feeling patient and forgiving that evening. I had Pollo Arandas which is like chicken and shrimp fajitas and it was so delicious I ate every bite and even used my chips to gather up all the left over sauce. He tried to take my plate twice as I was doing that and I had to jokingly tell him to «BACK OFF», which he thought was hilarious.
Their chairs are a little awkward. The backs are too tall to be comfortable and tip over easily.
This is a convenient place to stop as it is located right along 50 Highway. I recommend you stop in if you are headed through the area. It’s been around for several years. This was my first trip, but I know I’ll be back.

I was in town on business and everyone at the office raved about this place so we came here for lunch.
First of all, it was hard to find because of the location being on a side street not accessible from the main road, but we got there with a lot of turns… and it doesn’t look like a restaurant at all from the outside of the building (old warehouse or something)… anyway, I digress…
I had the burrito and tamale lunch… and it was not what I was expecting at all. After hearing all the raves about his place, I was a little disappointed. Mind you, the menu for the dinners looked awesome, but I never came back to try them… not too thrilled after the lunch…
Anyway, my beef burrito was just that, a tortilla filled with ground beef… that’s it… covered with sauce and cheese on the plate. The tamale… oh the sad tamale… lets just say that its the first tamale I’ve ever had that was filled with ground beef… REALLY!!! Hamburger in a tamale??? OK… whatever.
Like I said, the dinner menu looked like it had a lot of awesome stuff… I was just terribly disappointed in my lunch…

This mexican food is good! The service is fast, nice and friendly. They have military discount-​10%. Prices of food are very reasonable. Tuesdays are $ 1 tacos (only crunchy). Margaritas are good too.

Nicely seasoned foods, and some of my favorite dishes like chili colorado. Friendly service and low prices.

I’m not the biggest fan of Mexican food, but I can tell you that the food here is probably as good as it gets in this rural town. Their menu has a lot of variety and they have no problems custom tailoring a dish just for you. So far I’ve been here twice and both times the food has been 5-​star quality cooked in a well seasoned grill that’s worth its weight in gold! Highly recommended!
