Armada Inn and Suites

Stayed here last week for 3 nights. Have been here the past three years while curling in Knoxville. We stay here cause it is cheaper than many of the other hotels. Old hotel. Outdoor swimming pool. Older rooms that need updating. Nice breakfast in clean dining room. Biggest problem is the feral cat population that lives around hotel and the urine smell around the pool. Can be bad if you are downwind. Then there is a occupancy tax on the room for each night you stay. What is that? Also do not like the fact that they charge a fee for having a safe in your room and then a tax on that fee. I did not know this when I made the reservations online. Will have to reconsider where we stay next year.

Recently remodeled. Nothing too special about this hotel. Its prices are reasonable for the service you get. Staff at the front desk and cleaning were very friendly. Beds and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent with bagels/​muffins/​biscuits and sausage gravy as well as waffles and eggs. It’s location is a little difficult to get in and out of, but there is a back entrance/​exit that gives you quick access to the expressway. Nothing super fancy but will suit your needs for a visit to Knoxville. CLose to campus and there are tons of restaurants and shops in the area.
