Carrie is a very nice person. As is office manager Randy. He makes sure you are comfortable and asks if you need anything while you wait. The reason for the three stars is comprised of two components. 1. Availability. I was very specific in my initial email the time per week I needed. VERYSPECIFIC. When Carrie called me to make my appointment, I was under the impression that she understood my needs and that she had that availability. She did not tell me otherwise. It was a very big surprise to me when I went to make my appointments for the following week and it was for one appointment. I questioned this and she said«I don’t have that availability.» even though she had many days and time slots open. 2. Out of session communication. There is none. She does not do phone calls, texts or emails. She said if you call her, she will tell you to call mobile crisis or go to the ER. She will not do counseling over the phone. I found this very off-putting as sometimes things come up that don’t require a call to a crisis center or a trip to the ER that will cost a huge copayment. I don’t think a 10 minute phone call is asking too much when she already gets paid $ 150-$ 200 for 45 minutes. Yeah, you don’t even get an hour. Would I recommend her? Sure. But not if you have serious issues that require more than 45 minutes per week.
