When I think of Knoxville, Iowa I get an impression of meat and taters, but apparently it also means pretty good Chinese food. I went to this restaurant for a work lunch while traveling as was happy with the choice. In the middle of the 4 block downtown Knoxville was a simple sign saying Hong Kong Chinese. Nothing fancy on the outside and the inside was the typical purple and green with paintings and a few gold statues. Good selection of choices at the buffet, but I went with my norm white rice and General Tso Chicken. The rice was extra sticky, just the way I like it, and the Generals was spicy. I also had some of the cream cheese wontons and they were perfect. I cant give this place a better ranking because I always compare Chinese places to one back in my college town and frankly none have come close from becoming the favorite. Overall good food and a good little find on a business trip.
