Sonic Drive-In

I eat at this Sonic, and for that matter any Sonic, very little. The cheeseburgers are usually satisfying while their fried goods (pickles, onion rings, etc) have an odd sweet flavor to them which I find to be displeasing. Their frozen treats always, of course, have way too little added ingredients (butterfinger, oreo, etc). Today I had a New York and Chicago dog. The buns were soft, however, the bun on the Chicago dog was extremely soggy. I would not discourage a friend from going, but I would not enthusiastically recommend them go.

Milkshakes are too expensive and there are no rain covers over the order screen and window.

I’m not exactly sure how they. made my frozen mozzarella sticks taste like onion rings, but I doubt it was technique… Might need to change the oil a little more often. One start is for the ok ice cream. Yes. Just ok.

Avoid this place at all cost, unless you live within a two mile radius and you have to satisfy your slushie or chili dog cravings.
I love Sonic and when I lived in Atlanta I had to drive 45mins to either Duluth or Kennesaw just for a lemonberry slushy. So you can imagine how pleased I was to discover that I am within walking distance of a Sonic. Yeah, it didn’t take long for my smile to turn upside down.
THIS SONIC HAS THE WORST SERVICE & WAIT TIME EVER!
Either they are chronically understaffed or they just don’t give an F; most likely a combo of both. Because of the wait, I’ve seen cars drive off after they’ve ordered or drive off before they’ve ordered their food. The most I’ve waited in line was 15mins and all I ordered was a New York dog. That is unacceptable; 15mins fast food time is like 3 hours in real food time.
As much as I hate this place, my love for Sonic’s lemonberry slushy, happy hour special, and proximity to my apartment keeps me coming back.
Its a vicious cycle of dependency, but dammit, someone needs to know the perils of visiting this particular Sonic!
