The Campus Deli

One of my favorite places ever! back when it was vic and bill’s deli i use to just about live here. if you are looking for the place where the hamburgers are the best and so juicy it runs down your chin. this is the place. don’t be destracted by the «hole in the wall» look of this place, it is the best. They have the best fried mushrooms and french fries. Great place!

Okay, this place is pretty damn good. It’s located just behind the law building at UT.
Their fries are pretty much a sin. In that it’s a sin to make me break my diet after having been so strong, even strong enough to think I could order them, eat a few and then throw them away. Obviously, that didn’t happen. I had poutin in Montréal, and if you haven’t had that you MUST (fries with lots of delicious goopy stuff), and this is just about as delicious, w/​o all the extras that make it poutin!
Their gyros and falafels are pretty fantastic too. The tahini is delicious. Seriously, probably sinfully so again.
And if you need another good reason to go there – it’s family run and so you know they know their shit when it comes to their ethnic foods. Not into the ethnic foods? That’s okay, they pretty much know their shit on the burgers and fries as well.
