Great place, questionable owner. Summary: Great beer selection and great setting. I have been many times and its a great spot. I do have one complaint — the owner Tom. The place was packed one day, standing room only, and instead of helping his staff or letting a paying customer have a seat, he continued to drink beers with his buddies while others waited for a seat. It just rubbed me the wrong way. I pulled up a bench from outside and he came over to tell me to put it back(understandable since it wasn’t his) but didn’t offer up his seat to myself or the other dozen people looking for a seat. He had an attitude about it too. I was very close to telling him off, but since I was with a group I bit my lip and saved face. I hope next time Tom gives up his seat and helps out the 2 bartenders when there are people waiting for a pint at the bar. As much as I love the location, the owner is questionable. A colleague has had a similar situation with Tom as well. If you want to go to a casual pint, go see Chris at the Papermill location or Natalie at the Market Square location — both are great people with essentially the same atmosphere since all are the same franchise.
