Choo Choo McGoo’s

Everything we’ve ordered off of the menu has been absolutely delicious. Fairly extensive variety of options for a small restaurant, and you can’t beat the prices! Staff is young but very friendly and helpful. Our personal favorites include the country fried steak (wonderful gravy!) and the French-​fried clams. Can’t wait to get here in time for breakfast (before 11:30am) someday!

Menu is standard fare. Service was friendly. Facilities were clean and a nice environment. Food was just ok — nothing special. For the price, I’d just go to Applebee’s or Chili’s where the food is better. Bottomless fries is nice here but the fries are subpar.

Bland, over cooked food that isn’t worth the time or money. Although service was quick and friendly.

Just are lunch so my meal is fresh in my mind. We went in on a Friday afternoon, and we’re seated promptly. There were a few tables of people, but the restaurant was mostly empty. The menu seemed about average size for an establishment like this, but seemed to offer pretty good choices. We were questioning what exactly a baked steak was. We asked the waitress and she explained it was basically a large piece of meat with gravy. Not terribly descriptive, but whatever. I ordered a Salmon with orange-​ginger glaze with a side of rice pilaf and broccoli. Food came out fairly promptly. I tried a bite of my salmon and was unfortunately met with a tremendously overcooked fillet. The glaze was terribly overpowering and sweet as well. My family didn’t believe me until I let them try it. The broccoli was cooked well, but needed a bit of salt. The rice pilaf was a bit off. I noticed they used a medium grain rice rather than a long grain. The use of medium grain rice caused the rice to stick together quite a bit and just had a strange mouthfeel for rice pilaf. I would recommend they switch to a long grain wild rice instead.
That said, I probably will not be returning. There were too many red flags that tell me this won’t be fixed any time soon.

Went in after Church and we were seated right away. The place was very nice looking but was way behind due to a large party. We Watched one group leave after waiting for an hour. Our waitress was trying but was very flustered. After waiting for an Hour and 15 minutes the waitress went to check on our meal. She came back upset and told us that she had explained that we have been waiting for a long time and his response was, «tell them that they have two choices, they can continue to wait or they can leave. » we left and probably won’t be back. I doubt they will last long with that kind of attitude.
