Vannatter Construction

VanNatter Construction is often competing for remodeling jobs, and I actually was considering getting an estimate for my basement project. Then, I began to do a bit of advance screening, and learned that the owner — Mr. Heath VanNatter — has actually publicly supported a law which allows businesses to discriminate against certain classes of people, and try to justify this bigotry behind a (so-​called) religious excuse. In fact, the owner Mr. VanNatter not only supported this excuse for hatred, he actually voted on SB 101 (also known as the so-​called «Religious Freedom Restoration Act» (a misnamed piece of legislation, of course). As a builder, his construction materials may be okay, but the owner may have some issues. As a true Christian, I cannot condone his bigotry, nor his hatred. The beauty of Christian teachings, (and this is made very clear) is that Christianity is INCLUSIVE. I can do business with vendors and customers of all faiths and all walks. Everyone was welcome at Jesus’ table. Everyone. Christ made this very clear, and made his feelings on this beyond question. I do understand Christianity. I refuse to associate myself with anyone who espouses such non-​Christian beliefs as discrimination. Or bigotry. Or hate. I will seek some other less-​hateful remodeling firm, thank you very much.
