Hubby and I both got one meat plate for lunch. I had turkey, potato salad &BBQ beans. Turkey was super moist. Hubby had brisket, cowboy caviar. Very moist not fatty. Caviar was like a bean salad. Refreshing. Super nice couple. Will return for sure.

Great BBQ but also try the burgers! I had a California burger with Avocado. Delicious. Backyard burger taste with fresh veggies. $ 7 w/Chips. Great deal.

The young couple who owns this restaurant recently moved from down the street where they were for 7 years before they settled into their new location. The restaurant is fairly small and has a great small town vibe to it. In fact, everyone who came in, especially the owner for the bar next door, seemed to be on a first name basis with the owners. I enjoyed how simple everything was. There were only a few drink options, a giant paper towel roll from the nearby store stood in the middle of each table and the food was served on a thick paper plate. That, with everyone being so friendly, it felt like my coworker and I were eating at a friend’s house versus at a restaurant. I ordered the 2 meat plate with 2 sides for 11 bucks: ribs, brisket, lime cilantro slaw and BBQ beans. The slaw was addicting and the ribs were pretty tasty. The brisket was good, just a little too lean for my taste but it wasn’t bad. Come give this place a try if you’re in town.

Family and I ordered food to-go, 2÷7÷14. We ordered a brisket sandwich, chopped beef sandwich, and sides(jalapeño potato salad and close slaw)! I wish I got two sandwiches because it was so good! It’s a very small place, so I wouldn’t have a big group go there. They do cater and we will be doing that in the future! Their staff was super friendly, we will be going back :)

Great barbecue esp the brisket, at extremely reasonable prices. The owner was very friendly and a BBQ pro. Nice to have them on my doorstep. They also cater.

Do not go to the one with pictures on here. The new place has moved over in the shopping center next to a small bar. The joint with pictures on here is awful. Worst food ever, don’t make the mistake we made. I hear the place next to the bar is very good.

Okay, the pictures are of the old place. They have moved closer to 380 in a small retail center between a hair salon and a bar. The address is correct, but the directions are wrong. Plug in the address and you will find the right spot. First off, the new place is small. Only a few tables when you walk in the door. The catch is the bar next door. They share space via a door in the wall connecting the spaces. I’m not sure if this is a benefit or a potential failure, only time will tell. I say that because I am not the person that wants to sit in a bar to eat. I don’t want to be in a bar period, especially if there are drunks(duh). As a family setting, this kind of rubs me the wrong way. Having said that, the owners are still fantastic and the food is still the best around. They dropped burgers from the menu due to a lack of fire in the back. So it’s smoked meats for everyone! The BBQ Joint puts out the best bbq in this area by far. It doesn’t matter what you get, it will be good from chicken to brisket, pulled pork to hot links; it’s all good. The sauce is true Texas, spicy and rich blending well with the sides too. Speaking of sides, I haven’t had anything that I didn’t like. The Southwest Pasta is a must have every time I go. Service is just ordering at the counter. The friendly conversation could start at any moment if you allow it. This is a small town so striking convo is as easy as «Nice weather». Don’t let the smaller size stop you from getting some excellent food from the BBQ Joint. It won’t me!

No frills, good smoke. Not for the pretentious or haughty. Brisket and sausage 8⁄10 and my kids liked the turkey with the spice cut off.
