This local farmer’s market is a gem! I had heard about how great the locally grown organic eggs are and that they taste better than store bought eggs(we used to get the organic eggs from Costco). The first time we got them I was surprised that you REALLY can tell the difference… they just taste so much better and richer!(Also much bigger and a darker yellow color). The bacon is also amazing… time to start trying more. The owners are very friendly, helpful and have created such an inviting atmosphere for the whole family! I highly recommend!

I drove here from Austin to check out the fresh produce and plants, and I definitely plan on going back! This little store has the cutest atmosphere and very friendly owners. The produce was fresh and looked delicious and the garden area in the back was amazing. I also stopped by to admire the donkey, mini horse, and dog — all adorable!

I heard about this place from my Crossfit coach and went to check it out. As I wandered around the property for 45 minutes looking at the beautiful Christmas trees, I noticed that each tree had a tag on it with a name… they named all the trees! It was funny to talk about which tree I liked and didn’t like using a name. I ended up picking out the perfect one, «Cedar». When I went inside to pay, I found the shop to be packed with fresh organic veggies, milk, cheese, and even a meat freezer. Cute Christmas decoration for sale as well and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or more helpful. I love supporting local business and this is one place I will definitely visit more often.

Fantastic, locally owned business. The owners are as pleasant and real as you’ll come across, and the product is very high quality. I don’t have a young family, but if I did, this would be fantastic place to spend a Saturday. Loved it, will definitely be back.

My husband and I drove down from north Austin because we wanted to go to a pumpkin«farm», not just buy one at HEB. Cross Plants was so much fun! Even though much of their pumpkin selection had been bought(it is only 2 days before Halloween… we got a bit of a late start on the pumpkin buying), the owner spent a long time with us and helped us pick out a pumpkin from the selection. There were lots of cute areas for kids to explore and even a couple of donkeys in the back. We were blown away by how friendly the owner, Jen, was! She showed us around the store and spent time sharing about her family with us. There is a ton of local produce, meat, etc. in the store, including recipes that show how to use the products. When my husband and I shared our dietary restrictions with Jen, she went through the trouble to look up a recipe for us and write down the website. We ended up spending much longer than planned, but enjoyed every minute! Super sweet and helpful family-owned business! We recommend checking out Cross Plants & Produce!

Cross Plants and Produce is a great place to get local organic foods, and plants. There is plenty of charm in this family owned and operated business. This could be a quick stop to pick up a few goodies, groceris, or garden supplies. But it could also be an outing for the family. Have a picnic, enjoy the animals on property under the big shade trees. I see big things for this family owned and operated business. They are always looking for great great, healthy, and local products to share with their customers. You can see how it will benefit the the community! Oh, and as for the person who commented about their experience with the dog they bought out. I don’t know of ANY business that would allow you to bring your own dog, and have it «off leash.» That would be a liability, and not many business owners are willing to take that kind of risk.

Cross Plants and Produce is awesome! The owners are the reason… delivering food twice weekly to a local children’s home, planned donations from Christmas tree sales, local business supporters, etc. It’s a great alternative for local, organic products without the huge parking lots and lines, and it’s relaxing. We have been shopping there since they opened and are aware of the pet on leash policy. 1-star reviews from customers like that are a good way to ruin it for customers who have the courtesy to keep their pets on a leash regardless of the policy.

We took our 2.5 year old to pick out a couple of pumpkins. 1st of all the prices are extremely fair especially since we went to a church pumpkin patch and they wanted to charge more than double. Jen even showed me how to look for a good pumpkin and which ones she would buy and which ones she wouldn’t. We are really excited to come back.

Drove here from north Austin SPECIFICALLY because we had called ahead to inquire about their dog policy. Was told that dogs were allowed and could be off the leash if they are friendly, which our black lab is. While I was standing in line to pay for our pumpkins, the clerk said to another client«That is not our dog. That dog should be on a leash» followed by «I know, but as a business owner, do you want to alienate 80% of your customer base or 20%? Just leash your dog.» I’m not even sure what that means but I was so embarrassed that I immediately left with my family. While I would certainly understand if this was their policy, I can tell you that one way to alienate 100% of your client base is to make rude comments to a store full of customers regarding a situation that could have been avoided if they were clear on their policy.

This is an amazing place! They sell organic produce, coffee, local honey, locally-grown/grass-fed meat, eggs, and a ton of gorgeous native plants, shrubs, trees, etc. I just LOVE the meats, produce, and coffee(Sumatra is to die for)…and I’m about to go over there today to buy a small crape myrtle and Esperanza to plant in my front yard! The owners/operators of this business care DEEPLY about the products they sell AND their customers. They also donate produce that is not sold to local charities. The store and grounds are beautiful, and they continue to get new products and grow their business with each passing week. They even have a customer rewards program! You will just love your shopping experience at Cross Plants & Produce — and, if you are lucky, you will have the pleasure of chatting with owners Nathan and Jennifer Cross while you are there. :)
