Lowe’s

I gave 1 star because there is no option for «no star». This company is just the worst for reliability in the installation part of their business. Plus, their customer service skills are non existent. They so totally SUCK. I have shopped at Lowe’s for years and in January purchased a new back door with a dog door for our home in Buda and arranged for them to do the installation. What a nightmare. First they measured incorrectly and had to come back. Then when the door arrived in March the contractor Lowe’s selected sent an installer who had only installed one other door. Needless to say, he screwed up everything, made a huge mess and then discovered the opening for the dog door wasn’t measured correctly and was at least 2″ too big. Remember, they got my money up front…$ 1,000. they were completely uninterested in making the job right. After both my adult children jumped their shit, Lowe’s finally agreed to bring a loaner door while they re-​ordered the door. Grudgingly agreed. The store rep, Layla, tried to say it wasn’t their fault, it was the contractor’s fault. Who picked the contractor? Lowe’s did. They never took any responsibility for the problems. Anyway, now it is May 13^th and the door was finally installed successfully today. Although… they didn’t tell the installer to come pick up the door from them before he came to my home so he had to go to Kyle and get the door. Long story longer, I hate Lowe’s now and am going to close my account with them (I know they won’t care but it’ll make me feel better) and I plan to never spend another penny with them. Four months to get a simple door installed. that’s ridiculous.

It’s a wonderful store. The employees are always friendly… well most of them. Management could use a few courses in how to speak and treat their employees.

I’d first like to say that I have always enjoyed shopping at Lowes. I’ve been a home owner for 4 years now and Lowes is my home improvement store of choice. I usually shop at the Brodie location because its on my way home from work. I live in Buda and decided to try the Kyle location. Unfortunately I had an awful experience at the Kyle Location on Sunday March 20^th due to the appauling customer service provided by the Assistant Store Manager Scott.
The behavior of Scott demonstrated his lack of regard for me as a customer as well as my time.
*All other lowes representatives were pleasant and helpful.

Will never purchase another thing from the Kyle Lowes. They have the worst customer service ever!!!

Let me begin by clarifying that this review is pertaining to Lowes Installation Company, the contractors that they use, not Lowes in and of itself. I recently needed new carpet, floor tile, granite counter top and a kitchen backsplash to be installed at a home we purchased. Without thinking twice I went to Lowes. From the Lowes employees I received amazing customer service! Layla with Installation and Steve in carpet were amazing. Unfortunately, my experience with awesomeness ended there. I had an issue with every install. The last, and most ridiculous, was the backsplash install. The team they sent were no better than someone I could of picked up off the street to install. They literally hung my Lantern shape mosaic tile sideways. When approached and told that they were hanging it incorrectly one of the men literally had a temper tantrum in my drive way. The other asked if I was going to want it to be redone. Um… yes, I will want that corrected! After further inspection, I realized that wasn’t the end of it. They hadn’t matched up the sections, especially in the corners. Some tiles were crooked, some were chipped and some were spaced differently than others. Well, needless to say after multiple problems with Lowes installers, (the counter top installers sealed our address onto the granite in three places and left trash in our front yard. Tile installers never showed and carpet installers were a week late), I fired Lowes asking for a full refund. Which they graciously provided but not before the backsplash installers removed the walls to the studs and broke a light switch. I wish I could post pics of the disaster, instead you’ll have to take my word and NOT use Lowes installers. Sorry Lowes, but it’s true.

Arrived about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon to have some keys made. The store was by no means busy, but I was unable to gain the attention of any employee. When I finally did locate someone to ask for help, the request was called overhead. After ten minutes, there was still no one to assist me. There were, however, little gaggles of employees all chatting and laughing with each other. When I walked towards one of these groups to request assistance they quickly scattered. This has to be the most unhelpful, unfriendly Lowe’s I have ever been to. Luckily there’s a Home Depot less than five miles away.

Terrible, just plain sad. I won’t be returning to this place ever, ever, ever again. The Home Depot is right up the road and they’re much nicer and better.

Not a huge fan of home improvement stores because I honestly don’t know what I am doing. But after talking to the staff I usually feel confident to tackle my project.

Love this place. I can stay here for hours. Everything I need… very good pricing. The cashiers can be a little more friendly. .But I love this place.

I always find what I need and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. The store is clean and well stocked.

Since moving to kyle a few months ago, we have been here every weekend AND during most weekends, we visit multiple times! People here are incredibly helpful. They help us to get the most discounts possible, best deal of the day, and the best quality of products.
Jake and Adam by the lumber section are GODSENDS. If their managers don’t know how great they are, then someone else isn’t doing their job. Absolutely incredible customer service, helpfulness, and knowledge/​resourcefulness.
Great experience every time.

The employees have always been very helpful and nice. This is the only hardware store I will shop at. Great prices, good people and just all and all a good experience every time we go in there.

Great customer service in the flooring department an decent everywhere else too.
My problem is with the people they use to actually put the flooring in! They suck! Nice but suck… And they could have picked up their cigarette butts from my driveway!
The reason I went with Lowes because Empire had crappy reviews and I needed it done fast before my furniture came. So I guess I got what I asked for a fast hurried crappy job!
I can see the sub-​flooring on the side where they cut into the carpet too much. The steps! Ha… I can see where it’s not tight enough. I have stepped on staples and bumps. The corners are pretty crappy.
I do take some blame because I didn’t catch all this really till after they left and I really looked around. I don’t know how they would have resolved this if I was more thorough with the walk through and called Lowes? I just was to stressed from moving out of state to Texas and I feel the window for resolution has closed.
Next time I will go to a real carpet place!

GREAT customer service in the nursery as soon as you drive up. «ASHLEY» (I believe her name is spelled differently) is very knowledgeable of «her» plants. You can tell she loves her job and being able to help with a green thumb. I am the «serial killer of even silk plants»…so I «need» all the help I can get. «Keeping Buda Green» would cringe at my ability to grow much of anything. That is the reason I live in an apartment and am trying to grow a house plant or 2! The cashier is friendly and appreciative of your business.

This location has become like my second home with a new house. Everyone that works here is super nice. Even when I have had issues they have taken care of it very well. I ordered a workbench online and when it arrived it was super damaged & missing hardware. They reordered it for me and gave me $ 20 off. Of course the damage was not Lowe’s fault but the manufacturer’s packaging of the product. I consistently return to this location for easy access to IH-​35, helpful employees and plenty of product.

LOWS one of my favorite stores better not linger there to long or my lows charge card will take a huge hit. use it get another 5% of and pay it up before the due date, larger items get the 2 years interest free .
never had any problem with service just ask at the desk for asistance and a *partner *will be with you in minutes gives you time to browse the merchandise you are thinking of buying. works for me

What can I say, I spend so much time here that they’ve given me a reserved parking space. Which was appreciated.
The downside is there has been absolutely NO time for Bed Bath & Beyond. My weekends are packed — just not enough time.

Wowza! Needed a new lawnmower for my new home and in two visits over twelve hours, I had been given a glossy catalog of yard equipment and a crash course on the pros and cons of gas vs. electric mowers. As if that wasn’t awesome enough, they retroactively applied a 10% discount I found when I was going through my mail the next day.
As newlyweds getting settled into their first home, my honey-​do lists are growing with each passing weekend and Lowe’s has been there for me each one of them.
The employees here are not only nice but they are, most importantly, knowledgeable. Keep up the good work!
