I am speaking on behalf of my mother. My mom was referred to Dr. Nguyen as a second opinion at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. I am truly thankful that we took the opportunity on seeking the second opinion what else was out there, because if we didn’t we would have never had gotten the chance on meeting Dr. Nguyen. From the 1^st time my mom had her appointment and meeting Dr. Nguyen I knew he was the one that I felt comfortable on letting him operate on my mother. He took the time to ask me questions on what I understood on what was going on with my mom and why she was there. He also explained to my mother on what the results were and what he seen. He explained everything and had some concerns with my moms health and wanted to get some other Doctors input and he would get back to us, letting us know the best way to go about her surgery.
I truly didn’t think that Dr. Nguyen would be the one taking the time to call my mom to let her know what the outcome was that he was willing to do the surgery.

I cannot say enough about Dr Nguyen. If I could give him 6 stars I would! He is a consummate professional. It is extremely rare to find such expertise in a doctor that also has a terrific bed-​side manner. Dr. Mike Nguyen truly cares about each of his patients and it shows. He is very kind and compassionate as well as extremely knowledgeable. He is my urologist and surgeon. I researched and interviewed many doctors for my kidney surgery and he was a stand-​out. I knew that he was the right choice for my delicate surgery and that he would take excellent care of me, and that he did. My other doctors were also impressed with him and were so relieved that the surgery went so smoothly and was a huge success. I will certainly refer Dr. Mike Nguyen to anyone in need of a first rate urologist! He is simply the best!!!

Dr. Nguyen was highly recommended to me from others with the same rare condition that I have. He is the only doctor who recommended adding dairy to my diet to reduce my oxalate levels and it worked! The other doctors just gave me pamphlets and told me to avoid certain foods but didn’t help the problem.
Dr. Nguyen is very attentive, knowledgable and always addresses my concerns and needs.
I drive an hour without traffic to see him while others I know have flown in from across the country for him to perform their surgery.
