This was an unexpected delight.
The ground floor has old american quilts and the history of the mansion, but the real attraction is the Japanese quilts on the upper floors.
I thought I had no interest in textiles and quilting, but this is a must-​see in La Conner!

My friend is into quilts… I’m into historic old homes. The Gaches Mansion is superb example of both. A stop by while in La Conner is well worth it.
