If you are in the area it is worth stopping. The coffee is much better than the usual coffee chains. I came here with a group in the morning and came back in the afternoon because I liked it so much.

A nice coffee shop with a rustic vibe and atmosphere. It may have been random, but we had a weird encounter here with someone who seemed to be a regular, harassing the staff and patrons. We rushed out with our lattes and enjoyed them though they were a bit on the bitter side. Nice stop before hitting the waterfront in town.

Followed the Unilocal reviews to find this spot for a cup of coffee after a cold blustery day at the Tulip Festival. Friendly service and love the cute cottage feel. My Americano was tasty and strong.

Best coffee in La Conner. Plus you can get a milkshake with a shot of espresso. Beats the pants off a frappuccino!

Good coffee. Had a business meeting nearby. This place has no bathrooms. Also, no one was there and yet the barista rushed me. I was going to use the wifi, but would rather leave. Try somewhere else

I’m only giving this a 3 for the appearance. Us city folk often explore the outskirts and stumble upon places like La Connor. This place has a quaint, cottage feel. The outdoor seating and the bridge are nice touches. The drip I got was decent, definitely had been sitting out for awhile, an their pastry selection was very slim. But the customer service… Awful. Staff was not nice, and gave my friend and I looks as if they could tell we were«outsiders.» Not to mention they have us the wrong wifi password several times, haha. Not that I’m ever going to go here again, I just thought I would say… Shape up, team.

Super happy to get a good cup of coffee. I was really surprised how great it was. I would give the coffee a 6+ star rating if I could. I was planning on giving the place a 5 star rating but I read some of the other reviews and I have to agree that there isn’t a lot of non-coffee and/or food items. That would only make it better, and better means an updated review with 5-stars in the future!

A good cup of coffee and extra point for the small batch roasting. But staff not so friendly and pastry selection weak.

Good, quality espresso in small town. If you’re in La Conner and need a caffeine fix then look no further than La Crema. It’s a friend to droopy eyed locals and tourists alike. Gotta love the doppios!

Small, cozy coffee shack with dark wood shingles that seems to belong somewhere in Santa Cruz or Manzanita, but here it is in downtown La Conner, WA. I’ve been here twice and its a one person shop, so the waits are long. Its really enjoyable on a sunny day, due to gardens, shade areas and places to hang out. The iced coffee was great, but I seem to recall a not as successful soy latte a while back. Regardless, the hippie, laid back vibe at La Crema is relaxed and well worth a visit, as is the whole town of La Conner, and all the nearby agriculture stops(berries in summer and tulips in the spring.) La Crema has lots of games, a couple of cool kids books(a dog eared Ripley’s Believe it or Not & books on America’s National Parks) and an old Victorian couch, all which make this place a quirky, interesting stop.

Excellent little small town coffee shop in lovely La Conner. Visited on a grey, overcast summer day, and was given a boost by some great espresso(free Doppio — two shot espresso on Fridays!!!), fantastic in-store coffee aroma, two scoops of reasonably priced and delicious ice-cream, and a great little garden patio set-up. The owner was friendly, helpful, and had a good sense of humour! I wish we had coffee places like this in Vancouver! Took a generously portioned pound of coffee home to savour it for as long as possible.

The best espresso in La Conner! The outdoor garden is nice when the weather is cooperating. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, willing to answer questions or make whatever custom drink you want. Losing a star for limited seating, and because service can be a little slow on a busy day.

I love La Crema. It opened when I was still going to High School in town. Before it opened, Troy hosted a small poetry reading/open mic night. When i got there, I was supplied with a free drink and got to hear about how the owner got into roasting and the process of opening up the café in a small building that used to be a bonsai tree shop. The quality of the coffee amazed me. Everytime I’ve been back since then the coffee has been just as good, no matter who the barista happens to be that day. I’ve brought friends from Olympia and Seattle, and all had similar reactions… my girlfriend looks forward to stopping there when she comes into town with me.

Great little atmosphere. It’s nice to have a cup of coffee in a place with comfy chairs and sofas instead of a rigid wood dining set. With that said, the place is pretty small, so I am glad my friend and I were in there when it wasn’t busy. The barista was young, and wasn’t overly friendly but I think she was quiet by nature. She was nice enough to let my friend and I use some scissors. Our coffee was pretty good… this coming from somebody who grew up with a mother that owns her own coffee house. It had a nice, rich flavor to it and the barista did great foam(which you don’t see much anymore). For as decent as the coffee was, I would have expected to find more fresh baked goods to accompany the drinks. There were a few lonely cookies and scones, but we were hoping for brownies or something similar. They should definitely look into beefing up their snack selection. Overall, good experience.

I can safely say this was by far the most interesting coffee experience I’ve e-v-e-r encountered. Pourquoi, you ask? Let me take you along on my La Crema Coffee adventure… Arriving at La Crème, we were met with a line out the door(good sign!). We waited in the line, and waited, and waited… but it was ok because: 1) the place was small; 2) La Conner is really(really) laid back; and 3) it wasn’t psycho-fast SoCal. Once we got closer to the front, we realized why the long wait. There were two ladies working the line — one at the cash register, the other making drinks. Watching them, it looked like the«barista» was very green — the cashier was instructing her how to make drinks(?!?). Ok, fine — as long as it’s good, right?(It was!!) The clutter and disorganization behind the counter I’m sure didn’t help them much, either(maybe their housekeepers were coming later that night). Their payment process also added to the wait. I paid for the drinks with a card. The barista lady goes to a computer near the seating area, swipes my card and prints out a receipt on regular 8 ½×11 paper; she then goes behind the counter, whips out her scissors and cuts it into a neat, little receipt. I was perplexed, but took it as just part of the adventure. A little weirded out by all that we had just seen, we were happy to plop down in their many over-sized seats and enjoy the sunshine, and converse with the locals(but not the peculiar old man, who gave me the evil-eye the entire time…) Because of it’s eclectic funkiness, decent prices, good coffee and cool vibe, I’d give La Crema Coffee an overweight 5 stars. Unfortunately the payment process and evil-eyed man weirded me out too much, so minus one star. Definitely worthy of a visit, though!
