Just tried Sakura Ichi out with my friend and it was delicious! The fish was incredibly fresh and the rolls were perfectly made. This place is really cute too and the service was excellent. This is my new sushi place in the Foothills for sure!

We came to this place after a coworker recommended this place and touted it as the«best sushi restaurant in la crescenta» We came in on a Friday night with the room about half full. The place itself is pretty small. There are about 6 – 7 tables and about a 10 seat sushi bar. There was one server, one sushi man, and one floater(presumably the manager or owner). After we got seated it took about 10 minutes to get our waters and another 20 minutes to get our food after ordering. We ordered two rolls and some sushi. The rolls were average. Nothing home to write about. We ordered salmon sushi and it seemed that the fish was butchered and stuck on a mound of rice. Each sushi piece is so big it requires you to take two bites. The only redeeming thing about this place is the free green tea ice cream. It’s get a star just on that alone. It’s fairly difficult to call this place the best sushi restaurant in la crescenta.

This place is wonderful! Not a lot of people know about this sushi place but I would definitely recommend going here. Two top roles on the menu are the double yellow tail role and the 911 ! great service! no wait time. the service is awesome! Very clean place. this is our go to sushi place. My friends and I always go here because its tasty, clean, great food, and great service!!!

Ohhh man. This place! I have been going here since we moved to la crescenta, for the past 5 years and I couldn’t be happier that it exists. And that its just down the street from my house. Great service, great sushi. I love the mom and pop vibe you get when you walk in. A couple times they’ve given us free dessert. Just go!

We always enjoy coming here for the last 5 years. This is our local sushi bar! Korean BBQ and spicy tuna salad are our favorites. Friendly staff/owners too.

Eating here with my big baby is such an amazing experience. Their sushi is so delicious, with the atomic wasabi on the platter. It will going to blow your nose stills and mind. We are going to comeback here during the weekends. WELOVESUSHI!

I can’t believe people rated this place more than 2stars. I ordered 2rolls that are your basic«can’t go wrong» rolls. Spicy tuna cut roll — horrible. Alaska roll. Horrible Service was great and the place was clean. Good was just really bad. The salmon was warm and was falling apart. Sign that it wasn’t fresh. Costco sushi tastes better lol.

No more one cent sake! They haven’t done that for years. The fish is fresh. Nice selection. Sushi Chefs are boring. Bar is worn out.

I continue to love their sushi and it saddens me that I now live further away from them. Definitely support this sushi place. It has the highest quality compared to other sushi restaurants I have gone to. They have the best green tea ice cream ever that does not compare to other green tea ice cream served else where.

Coming back home from golf date with my daughter, who has been screaming for sushi, we stumbled onto this not so visible sushi joint. We ordered yellowtail, salmon, and sweet shrimp sushi along with Angelina Jollie Roll. It was just beautiful and delicious as the name implies. Salmon was great, sweet shrimp was excellent and its heads fried just right. But I had better yellowtail elsewhere and that is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. No biggie though. When we were done the waitress offered us complimentary green tea ice cream for dessert. I was so full and had to kindly decline but my daughter took the offer and devoured it with a huge smile. What a way to end the day with my precious. I will definitely come back.

Quaint sushi spot that seems to have been around a while. We’ve passed this place a number of times, but never really had the desire to stop by because it just looked… Odd. But thankfully we opened our hearts and stomach to walk in and try out their plates. We were pleased with our order. Since we haven’t been here before, we ordered safe plates that will determine whether we decide to return. We ordered tempura appetizer, veggie rolls, and V&S(compliments of Unilocal photos). V&S was a roll with salmon on top and avocado and crab inside. It was very good. This meal set the standard to return again.

We have been coming here for years. They have amazing food at very reasonable prices. They have a nice patio in front for outdoor seating. We use to bring our dog here when we lived in the area.

This place was fantastic!!! I went around noon on a Friday and it wasn’t packed. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff is great. At first I was confused that the menu only had names of the food and no description, but the list where you check off what you want has a description. The food was fresh and great! You can see the chef making the food and you can see the ingredients displayed. I will definitely be returning!!!

I really enjoy eating here. Their portions are decent and the taste is really good. It’s a very small restaurant with an outside patio that gives it a feel like you’re on vacation. Service is really good. They serve you edemame(sp) for free upon your arrival. There is street parking. And the restaurant is kind of hard to find. But it’s worth looking for it and trying it out if you’re in the area.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh That is how many beautiful artistic and delicious rolls I wanted to devour tonight. I have wanted to try this sushi café for the longest time. We enjoyed spicy tuna with eel sauce, eel sushi, doublt T roll and some tempura shrimp appetizers for a special family occasion. The bento box my husband ordered with chicken and pork was luscious. Piece de la resistance? Sashimi with roasted garlic and mushrooms… Super! This is good and the staff are great.

If you don’t pay attention, you could drive right by this place and miss it. Lucky for you, the exterior is white and they have Christmas lighting(that ironically fits nicely year round) that helps it stand out even more. A quaint sushi restaurant along Foothill blvd. with a lovely outdoor patio area as you walk in, and a cozy interior. To some the interior may seem dated(wood décor), but in my opinion it adds to the ambiance and charm of the place. Dotted along the upper area of the front wall, are countless photos of guests who have visited the restaurant. The prices are on par with most other sushi bar/restaurants, and you do get a good amount for your money. While it appears that there are more spicy tuna based dishes than other fish, in general there is a good mix of variety. Service may be a bit slow at times, regardless of whether or not they are busy, but it’s still pleasant. My personal favorite is the Heart Attack. 4 pcs. halved jalapeños with spicy tuna, cream cheese & a little rice, tempura fried and topped with sweet & spicy sauce and sesame seeds. for the most part I really haven’t encountered anything I didn’t like. I personally don’t like eel, so I stay away from those dishes. They also have free green tea ice cream that they make in house. After dinner they’ll ask if you want some and bring out a scoop per person topped with a bit of chocolate syrup.
