Good Steward Resale Store

The best resale shop in the La Crosse area, if only a little small. The prices are fantastic, people are nice, and the prices are easily half the price of the nearby Goodwill. Again — just wish it was bigger!

One of the more unique resale stores I’ve seen. The kids clothes were sorted with large signs marking the separation by age. Usually kids clothes are all lumped together and you can spend an inordinate amount of time just trying to find something you like and then again in the size you want. In the adult section, there were sections labeled ‘retro’ and a ‘teenybopper”. And the designations were apropos.
Every so often they’ll have a sale on certain items they’re trying to clear out. During the time I was in the area, it was coats for half-​off. Half off in a resale shop? Really a deal.
Unlike some resale shops, this one also carried patterns, including maternity, for making your own clothes. There were also some of the nicest doilies that looked like they were straight out of grandma’s closet.
This is a fun store, if not for buying, then definitely for browsing.
