Here is what I absolutely love about this library… their Friends of the Library Used Book Store! They have an amazing collection of used books, paperbacks, hardcover, audio books, and current magazines! So far I have purchased numerous home décor, cooking, and fashion magazines for fifty cents each. Today I also came home with a David Sedaris audio book and last week a large coffee table art book from the MET! All for under $ 10! Take THAT half price books! All the purchases support the library and the store is staffed by very nice volunteers too.

Friendly staff, well lit places to work, fairly comfy chairs in which to read. They have a rather large Friends of the Library used book store and a quiet periodicals reading room.

Darien, IL
They have great conference rooms with white boards (bring your own markers, they provided you enough). I love working here when I am mobile. I get tons done in the silent, open space and dream the next great idea on the whiteboards in the meeting rooms.
Oh, don’t forget to check out the music room, tons of learning materials for different instruments.
