We held my daughter’s 10th birthday party here. We had a total of 9 girls. The party lasted 1.5 hours. The girls made a necklace and a bracelet. They had their choice of beads and charms to make it unique. They all seemed to really enjoy the experience. And the jewelry turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend this as a fun option for a birthday party.

Wish I had known about this place a long time ago! Helpful and friendly but not pushy or lingering staff, very large selection of gemstones that were very fairly priced. I already want to go back.

There is nothing in the Chicago area that can compare with the tremendous selection, pricing and technical knowledge wrapped into this«gem» of a bead shop! OMG, such a fun place to walk around with a tray, pick out things to make a jewelry project and sit for free at the Bead Bar with buddies. There are hundreds of charms for $ 1 each and so many thousands of bead and chain options it will keep you busy and returning! They will set you up anytime with kid friendly projects for around $ 10…oh, and their premade jewelry is gorgeous and affordable. They also have a huge amount of crystals and rocks… love all the other unique things for sale especially the African art, batiq art and local made soaps.

Without knowing exactly what this beautiful shop was all about, I brought in some costume necklaces to be repaired. The owner, Becky, simply charged me for the clasps and quickly mended my jewelry as I strolled about the shop. Though I’d never made a bracelet, I started collecting beads in a tiny basket. Becky started me on a bracelet, gave me a quick and thorough demonstration and sat telling captivating stories while I worked for over 2 hours to finish a wrap bracelet. She is fun and helpful and her beads are lovely.

Brought my kids in to make a necklace. The lady working was over the top helpful in the design and execution of the necklace. Price was more than reasonable for a custom made piece of jewelry. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good time making something or some beautiful premade jewelry.

Beads! Beads everywhere! .and not those junky plastic beads, either! these beads were real! stone, glass, ect! beads in a bundle! beads ala carte! even ropes to put the beads on! and those fancy doohickies that keep the ropes on yer neck. Seriously though, if you are interested in making your own jewelry, you gotta check this place out. They offer classes(both public and private,) and when we went there was a little girls birthday party going on… with all of them making some kinda jewelry. pretty cute, I must say!

I have been shopping at Circle of Stones since it opened. I can honestly say that I LOVE going there, every time, even after all of my visits. I’ve learned a ton of techniques from the clear, intimate classes and have bought many gifts for people of all ages and styles. Their style of jewelry is always changing and artistically inspiring. Best of all, it’s great to support locally owned businesses!

I’ve been to two other jewelry making classes in the city and I will now be heading out to LaGrange. Circle of Stones is as good as it gets! First of all the owner Becky creates beautiful jewelry it was the best jewelry making class I’ve been too by far. I took a class a year ago and wasn’t planning on doing it again. I now get and am excited to do wire wrapping. The selection of stones and beads is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Circle of stones and instruction by Becky s definitely worth the 40 minute drive!

I was here with a really good friend because we got a great deal on a groupon and we are both very crafty and always looking for something new to do and learn. When walking in it is like a toy store of bead galore! There is every type of bead you can think of and in every nook and cranny of the shop. It’s almost as if your eyes don’t know where to focus. We had signed up for the star of india class and luckily it was just me and my friend making the class very one on one and personal. We took our time picking out the beads and sat down with the instructor to learn how to bead the precious pendant. After making one with her she let us pick out another set of stones to make another one on our own. It isn’t mentioned during the class that we only get $ 15 toward our purchase and we would need to pay extra for the beads that go over the total… if you’re thinking you won’t…think again! Class is very well instructed and it is very relaxing with the music to just sit and design. The concept is great if you are looking for something different to do with your friends. The beads are of great quality but very expensive and unreasonably priced. I wish I could have brought my own beads! Just one crystal bead cost $ 0.75! The fact that you need at least 18 beads for a basic design adds up. She encourages you to make as many pendants/earrings as you want when you start class but doesn’t mention it starts costing! Even after the discount we paid an addtional $ 20 for making 4 pendants between the two of us. Overall my friend and I learned some great tips and have been inspired to have our own jewelry and wine party this summer! We plan on sharing our talents for a more reasonable price.

this bead store is amazing! it has everything you need from a ton of different findings and beads to unique imports and local artist’s work and neat plant arrangements. it’s awesome because you can sit at work tables and work on your projects, which is great because if you run out of something, you don’t have to go anywhere. I find a lot of inspiration when i walk in there because of the jewelry that is already made up and all the art on the walls. the people who work there are super helpful when it comes to starting projects, picking materials out for projects and finishing projects. they have sweet classes with helpful instructors. and the price point of everything is just amazing. you can find things in there for any budget. i would say it is HANDSDOWN the best bead store in town and in the area. i travel all the way from the northside of chicago just to enjoy this store and i’m never disappointed.

This is my most favorite bead store in the Chicago area, and I’ve been to them all(I think). I like that you can buy one or two beads; most places you are stuck with the whole overpriced strand.

I love Circle of Stones. It has some of the coolest, most unique beads around. I live in the city and haven’t found anything close to this place. Plus it’s really affordable. I like it because you can purchase made jewelry(which they have some really unique pieces) or make your own. They have so much to offer and it can be over-whelming on deciding what to make but the staff is super helpful. It’s truly a one of a kind shop, from the owner who is a local and has been there for almost 10 years, to the unique african and internation items to the friendly dog that greets you at the door! If you live in La Grange or not, this is a store you must check out!
