TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN GARDEN. We bought three hanging baskets at our neighborhood Ace garden center downtown la grange. After just 2 weeks of thorough watering and TLC they are almost dead and «scrappy» looking. We spent an upwards of $ 100 on three hanging baskets. I called to ask if I can swap them out and I have the receipt. The answer was «no, we can’t do that. «WOW! Even Home Depot is more accommodating than that. Such a disappointment. We won’t be supporting our local hardware store any longer due to POOR customer service.

The cashier completely ignored me and when I spoke to her she had a horrible attitude. I called the store on two different occasions to speak to a manager, and both times she was supposedly at lunch, mind you, my calls were two hours apart. If I could have given this store no stars I would have.

I use this store quite a lot for paint and supplies for my art projects, even tho I have another Ace closer by, I go out of my way to goto the La Grange store.
Plenty of paint choices and colors, indoor/outdoor, painting tools and more, more, more.
EVERYONE @ Hortons/Hortons Ace are all very friendly and off that satifaction guaranteed feel.

I love this place.
It’s not your typical hardware store by any stretch. When you walk in you would expect to see tools, supplies, paint and hardware. Nope, They have a great selection of outdoor furniture, an incredible display of interior and exterior lighting. Candles, and other sorts of knick knack stuff.
If you want the hardware you have to go to the basement. Well lit, super clean and organized. Staff is awesome. Out back are grills, plants, and planting supplies.
It’s a real treat.

We bought the paint for our first floor remodel at this store. They have the full Benjamin Moore line, and our house looks great! The guys who work there are really friendly and very helpful. Their customer service is fantastic. They also have a good selection of all your hardware essentials. We’ll definitely be returning many times!

From the outside this looks like your typical Ace Hardware, but going inside you’ll find it is not.
They are an extensive lighting store with an Ace Hardware in the basement. I rode my bike here on a bright Saturday morning to buy a bike lock. I found one right away, paid for it and signed up for the rewards program that only asked for your phone number and address.
I was compelled to look around at all of the beautiful ceiling and table lamps, Tiffany shades and garden furniture, there’s a huge selection.
Outside the store is a huge parking lot that they use to display barbeque grills and there’s a greenhouse here for plants.
The service was awesome and I found perennials on sale for 50% off, hurry. Oh and they also have an ACE hardware site.
