What a rude manager. «Cassey» not very professional as a manger you should be very helpful and nice. Standing around doing nothing and talking about your personal life is one thing but to rude while being asked for something is something else. I enjoy this big 5 but this manager needs some improvement.

Loyal customer for life! I went into Big 5 to purchase a coat for someone in great need. I was assist by Eric the manager who asked what I was looking for. Told him the story. He led me to a nice, warm jacket but it was a little more than I could afford. He said it was on sale and without hesitation he voluntarily gave me an extra 10% off. I was so impressed that this company would step up for a person in need. This single act of generosity spoke volumes and certainly made a loyal customer out of me.

Wow, not sure the young mans name but his attentiveness was awesome. Immediately, upon my arrival at the glass case of secured eyewear, he popped out like a customer service ninja in a red dress shirt! Very accommodating and patient, as we all well know buying eyewear is complicated, sizing and previewing in the little miniature mirrors is difficult enough, without having some young impatience youth making you feel like your wasting their time.
Not so here, not only did he bear through me changing my mind several times, he also assisted me in locating my additional purchases.
I must admit, I don’t normally shop at this location, but ill take the drive for this level of service.

No idle employees here. As I walked in to purchase my weight equipment it was maybe an hour before closing, girl behind the cash register was cleaning her area but stopped to greet me and ask if I needed any assistance. No grumpy, No staring at the clock waiting to go home just good customer service with a smile. Overall great experience. 5 stars if the prices were like outlet malls.

I am a sucker for low priced goods– especially at Big 5.
I picked up a pair of New Balance shoes on sale.
I get deals on kids shoes here all the time and I can walk from my place, a winning combination.

I went in to buy my little niece some batting gloves, came back 2 days later to exchange for 1 size larger… the lazy cashier took her time on calling the lazier store manager to see if it was ok to exchange the. Gloves without a receipt…
After waiting 40mins I just kept the gloves and gave them to some other girl on my nieces team. I am now a SPORTS AUTHORITY man all the way.

Dad needed shoes. He has really big and wide feet, and is housebound.
I had previously grabbed a size 11EE pair of walking shoes and brought them to him, thinking I was good to go. Wrong.
I returned here, and the salesman was very helpful in finding the largest, widest shoes. He told me which brands tended to be wider, and brought me size 12EE and 13EE. He recommended the 13EE, based on my description on how the 11EE’s didn’t fit on Dad’s feet.
The shoes fit Dad’s Flintstone feet perfectly.
Shoe prices are good, and get even better on sale.
The staff are quick to call other stores to locate stuff they don’t have in stock. (shoes, heart rate monitors, etc.)
Although this store is smaller than other Big 5s in the area, it has the best service.
