Great local spot. Live around the corner and it’s a great go to for quick, good, friendly food. Staff is excellent, food is good, and prices are great.

Very nice neighborhood place. The staff are friendly, food is good, and atmosphere is comfortable. We tried shrimp enchiladas and grilled chicken burrito.

Came here for the Sunday brunch buffet. The buffet was amazing and priced very well for a Sunday brunch. Loved the variety of Mexican as well as American food that was available at the buffet. The Menudo was amazing!!! Defiantly coming back here again!

I just finished taking my cousin to a doctors appointment and we were deciding where to go and eat. Then I remember this place my friend went to in high school and said it was the best Mexican food she ever had! So I decided it couldn’t hurt to try it out! Walking in you’re greeted with a welcome and for us, we were allowed to sit where ever we wanted, probably cause there was a handful of people at 2pm on a Wednesday. — chips and salsa? To DIE for!!! The chips are so warm and the cold salsa complements it so well. The salsa isn’t hot but it’s not mild either, it’s the perfect thing to have before your meal. –my cousin and I ordered iced tea for drinks and it tasted like it was just made rather than sitting in a container all day, which is a plus for us. –I ordered the enchiladas rancheros and it was SOOOO good. I’m a cheese person so the fact that these enchiladas were the cheesiest thing I’ve eaten, I was amazed. My cousin did a custom plate with a taco and an enchilada. Her taco was PACKED with carne Asada and that alone filled her up! — for the both of us, it was only $ 25!!! Super cheap and affordable comparing it to other places that give less servings, in my opinion. –our waiter was actually the owner and he was super friendly and always greeted us with a smile!!! We felt very very very welcomed! I would totally recommend this hole-in-the-wall place if you’re looking for some filling Mexican food!

I have been to this restaurant a few times for Sunday brunch. My husband and I both have enjoyed the food. There is a nice variety of items to choose from. They had tacos pozole and many other offerings. The lady making the omelettes and Waffles is very sweet. But the service was awful we sat there for an hour and the waiter never checked on us well at least not until I flagged him down. We ordered 2 coffees and two waters and he only brought one coffee and one water for 4 people. It took about 30 minutes to get our other water and coffee. Normally it’s ok if they were super busy but that wasn’t the case and the waiter was picking and choosing who to be attentive to. I don’t think I will return again

The food was average, nothing authentic. Brunch is supposed to be memosa until 2… The trick is after an hour you have to beg them to serve you… They bring you your check while you’re eating. as to say, leave… then the bill for two adult and one child was 60.00…definitely won’t come back. I’ll stick with El torito in Brea… ohhh and they charged 6 bucks for a creamer size teapot of orange juice… Horrible

Today I came to this restaurant with some friends of mine. The chips and salsa were the highlight of the experience. That should tell you a lot. I got the enchiladas rancheras with one cheese and one chicken enchilada. I asked instead of receiving rice to get sweet corn cake with the beans. My plate came out and I still had rice. The taste of my food had no taste; I can not score what I can’t taste. This would be perfect for a diabetic or someone with high blood pressure for there is not a spec of salt on the plates. One of my friends got the tostada Colorado but she barely had any beef on her plate and was not happy with the taste at all. Another friend got a burrito and she was happy with it. It took a long time for us to get our checks as there is only one person working the whole room; there were only a few people to begin with and it was whatever. Overall, was the food bad? Yes, only because there was no flavor. Would I wake up and say I want to go to the Harbor Café? Never. In other words, don’t bother coming here.

So we came in here today w friends. My friends mainly wanted to come to try the corn cake but they said it was really dry. It took about 25 mins to get our orders in and there were about 3 other ppl sitting at the tables. None of my friends enjoyed the food and I got the wet chorizo burrito which I thought was pretty good actually. But service was not great. But he was the only server

Great Mexican food, place is nice and calm, good service also. Their mexican food is one of the best I have tasted, their free chips and salsa when dining in is also one of the best. Salsa is fresh and so are their chips, unlike anything I’ve tasted before, this is not some average salsa, they make it fresh and is not heavy on tomato like a lot of other salsas I’ve tried, Definitely love eating here. Minus one star because food is priced above average in my opinion. They advertise a sunday brunch buffet but it is not good at all, it is more like their left overs for the week they are trying to get rid off. I only recommend eating here when ordering off the menu.

I’ve been coming here for years and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. The service is excellent — the servers are eager to please, humble and hard-working. I love this place to pieces. My favorites here are the Sunday brunch, the pozole, and their chips/salsa(salsa is so yummy).

***Update*** One of my favorite restaurants just keeps improving, both in décor and food quality. I have been there twice in the last week. I cannot get enough of the Arroz con Pollo! Found out today that one of the men who has worked here forever, recently purchased the restaurant. He always had pride of service and presentation. I am really looking forward to seeing what else he comes up with.

Nice restaurant with super friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was a little more then I thought it would be(based on I here reviews I thought it would be around $ 12 but it was $ 14) Anyway the selection was vast but the quality was just not there. There really wasn’t anything bad about the food but nothing wowed me. I would return but probably just order a menu item verse going with mediocre buffet. The chips and salsa were great so I would assume the main menu is much tastier then the smörgåsbord.

My husband and I come here every once in a while for their brunch. We live in brea and when my husband has Mexican cravings their brunch will definitely hit the spot! They have everything from enchiladas and menudo to waffles and fruits. The quality of food is pretty good and the service just goes so great with the atmosphere. The place looks like an adobe house with a slight modern touch. They have a taco stand with different meats. The tortillas are made in front of you. They also have champagne for those who like it. I never used to like menudo. But this place has got me hooked! With the juicy lemons, oregano, and pre-chopped onions the already great tasting soup is incredible! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

They seat you fast, Chips are served immediately and perfectly warm and crunchy, salsa made fresh, strawberry margaritas are tarty enough for my taste, carne asada is one of the best we’ve had, and prices are not bad. They deserve a perfect 5 in my book.

Great little place in a basically deserted strip mall. Food’s good any time but I especially would recommend the Sunday Brunch! Lots of variety and plenty to choose from! Delicious stuff! **Chile Verde: nice big chunks of meat and chilies, good flavor sauce
**Chilaquiles sometimes a little chewy but they are always my favorite and are still GOOD! **Beans and Rice: Always perfect… I usually tend to pass these up since I fill up on all the other good stuff. **Cheese enchiladas: Oh yeah, these are the highlight of our breakfast! So great! Just enough cheese with an awesome sauce that has the flavor we love! **Tamales: Alright, I’m not really a fan, I’m not sure there is meat in them, but whatever there is in there is tasty… I just would prefer them to be stuffed a bit more. Still good, and masa is moist and tasty. **Posole and Menudo: Yep, they have it! But nope, we don’t try it… but everyone else is always diggin’ in. **Omelet bar /Taco bar: she has all kinds of stuff on this thing and she cooks it up for you to complete perfection! Here’s where you’ll find more Conchas too(in case you are looking) **Sweet Corn Cake: Very very yummy! At first I was not going to take it but a guy behind me in line said it’s the main reason he goes on Sundays! So I tried it, super good! Now I never miss! There are all kinds of meats with chilies and peppers, Chile Rellenos… I can’t even remember everything! Tons of stuff to choose from. **Dessert bar: Fresh fruits, flan, jello, conchas and churros!!! You also can have the option of having this a Champagne Brunch… I haven’t done this yet, but might be in order with some girlfriends one day. Wait staff is very attentive and friendly. I usually have iced tea and my glass never sits empty very long and always comes back with a fresh load of ice as well. Reasonably priced. Whether you go for brunch or not… it’s a great little place to eat. I’ve gone for tacos and I’ve also had their enchiladas and carnitas burrito… yep, all good. CHEERS!!!

This place is one of only 3 businesses still open in a little strip mall off Harbor. How do these places stay in open? Harbor Mexican Café does it by providing great customer service and delicious food. I had the Steak and Shrimp Fajitas — the seasoning on the meat, vegetables and shrimp was really flavorful! I usually don’t even like bell peppers, but these were great! We came with a Groupon but we will definitely come back.

We’ve driven pass this La Habra restaurant many times and glanced at it without giving it a single thought of eating here. Passing by it today and hearing my tummy grumble, we decided to stop in. It doesn’t look like much on the outside and there was only one car in the parking lot. But, I’ve learned not to judge a book by its cover. Upon entering, the lone waiter tells us to sit anywhere we like. The appearance inside is traditional Mexican décor, nicely done with large booths and tables. Its actually very pleasant. Our waiter Marcos… wait a minute! I notice we’re the only patrons in here. Yikes! Anyway, our waiter Marcos brings out a bowl of chips and salsa, and they are fantastic! I’m feeling reasonably okay about this place now. My wife orders the carne asada plate($ 11.50) which comes with one cheese enchilada, rice, beans and corn cake. My daughter orders flautas($ 9.95), filled with chicken and cheese, lightly fried, all rice, she doesn’t care for beans, sour cream and corn cake. I, being the curious, experimental eater, ordered the Camerones a la Diabla($ 13.50), grilled shrimp cooked in red«Diabla» chili sauce, with rice, beans and tortillas. Devilish and delicious! We were very happy with our choices. I especially enjoyed my plate, hot & spicy! Can’t wait to eat here again. Oh! that one car in front of the restaurant, belonged to our friendly waiter, Marcos.
