Got a falafel wrap and inside the sandwich there was only two pieces of falafel and the rest was lettuce.

This is the place for Mediterranean food. Everything is prepared fresh and the turnip pickles are fantastic.

Family owned and operated, they always make you feel welcomed. I love all their meals very fresh and scrumptious. They also have specialty dishes for special occasions such as whole turkey. I’m putting my order in for this.

It’s funny how I try to avoid ethnic restaurants with generic names because I expect the food to be «watered down» and Americanized. I must have driven by the Mediterranean Terrace a dozen times before I broke down and walked in because I was too lazy to drive to LA or Anaheim for decent gyro and dolmas. And let me tell you, the fact that this Lebanese restaurant also makes PIZZA got me more nervous about the quality of the food than its generic name, but WOW… WOOOOOOW was I pleasantly surprised by this family-owned establishment. MT serves up some of the best gyros and chicken shawerma I have ever had! The baba ghanouj has the perfect smokey flavor, and the tzatzki sauce does its job in balancing all of the spices and heaviness of the meat dishes. I always find myself scrapping the bottom of the styrofoam container for the last kernel of rice because their buttery rice pilaf is incredible! If you order the plates, it generally comes with pickled veggies and a small side of cabbage salad(middle eastern style with spices and lemon juice — you will not find Italian dressing on your food *phew!). I have brought friends here and every single time people have been amazed at the intense flavors of their food. Do note that I’ve stuck to ordering their M.E. fare and have not(and probably will never) tried their pizzas. They did not get 5 stars because I do notice the occasional inconsistency in their food quality. When the older gentleman is there(I assume he is the dad, main chef and owner), the meat is always perfectly cooked and flavors/consistency of the hummus and baba are on point. However, when he isn’t there, I’ve had dry to BURNT gyro meat, an ocean of oil in my rice about a quarter inch high in the container, and baba gnouj that had large hard chunks of egglant that they either did not cook thoroughly or did not mash/chop thoroughly. Last night our side of cabbage salad was really, really sour, especially compared to their usual level of tartness. By the way, we’ve eaten here or grabbed to go orders about twice a month for the past 2 years so we generally are familiar with their flavor profile. Despite their inconsistencies from time to time, we still come here whenever a gyro craving strikes because it is the only good place around Whittier/LH, and when they are on point they are REALLY, REALLYGOOD! This is a counter service establishment, by the way. No fancy décor, alcohol, or music. They DO usually have sports on the tele, so you can catch a game while you eat.

I just found this place a few days ago! It looks like a pizza parlor or something, so it’s looks are deceiving. I LOVE it! The Chicken Pita Sandwich is wonderful! My 12 yr old didn’t want to go there, but after she ate the food, she told me that she wanted to come back the next day! So we did :) We will definitely be eating here again.

This is a hidden gem! I can’t get enough of this place. I’ve tried other Meditteranean restaurants, but sadly I was always disappointed. The food quality is great every time since they make it fresh every time. Recently I had the lamb kabob plate. It was delicious and very filling. It came with rice, hummus, pita bread, salad, and pickled turnips. If you’re really hungry, I suggest getting a plate. I also enjoy the lunch special which is only $ 5.99. Mike, Daniel, and Joe always make it a great experience. Thanks guys!

This place has good food but I’m changing my review bc all the prices went up by $ 3 – 4 dollars and the plates are the same size. I really hope they get the hint and lower the prices because we won’t be coming back. Hopefully others don’t as well. This is not affordable fast food. It is now restaurant prices without dining restaurant experience. I was a regular costumer and it was way to expensive for my family. Bad air conditioning, tap water with no ice. Ehh, I’m looking for another Mediterranean place for sure. It was fun while it lasted.

I didn’t really like mediterranean food until I tried this place! I usually get the chicken kebab plate and it has been consistently good! Baklava is great too! The older white guy(owner maybe) is really helpful and pretty nice too!

Family owned and operated Lebanese joint pushing out tasty tasty things by the plateful. Generous and delicious lunch specials(until 3pm) that you gotta taste to believe… Smoky, grilled chicken scewers on top of gorgeous, fluffy rice dressed with beautiful sauce and pickles, aside freshly made Lebanese bread and hummus + small salad of greens for $ 5.99. Yup you read that correctly, $ 5.99. I also recommend their falafel sandwich, which goes for under $ 3 with Unilocal check in. Fresh ingredients made from scratch, made to order. Real deal for real 5 stars

I had the gyro plate and it was great. The gyro meat was well seasoned and nice and crispy on one side yet still moist as it should be. You can see them cutting it off the vertical spit as it cooks. The chicken plate was white meet that was cooked just right with just a little char on the outside and moist on the inside. The rice was buttery and complemented both the chicken and gyro perfectly. The restaurant is Lebanese and not Greek(which was what I was thinking) and so much better than I was expecting.

Lack of competition = lack of quality I came in for the first time since I wanted to give this place a shot. There is not a whole lot of Mediterranean food places within the 3 mile radius, so I thought this place should not be so bad. Errrr. Wrong. I called in and ordered the chicken kafta kabob and lamb kabob plates. The chicken($ 9.99) and the side of hummus were okay. Their rice was actually good. However, when I got to the lamb, it was undercooked and rubbery. The inside of the meat was light red and it was impossible to chew it. It was pretty bad quality lamb for what I paid for($ 11.99). It’s quite sad that this is the only Mediterranean place within the LH/LHH/WH area. On a side note, the younger dude who took my order was polite and courteous. He even thanked me when I was walking out with my food. On the other hand, the older dude, I’m guessing the owner, had an arrogant and demeaning approach when he rang me up. No thank you, smile or have a nice day. That was just my first impression and that’s all that matters as a customer.

I normally get the chicken pita sandwich, or the combo that has the ground beef, chicken, and steak kabobs. The stuffed grape leaves are also great. My kids love there chicken kabobs. We have ordered there pizza once and I am still on the fence. Gerry0625

So apparently these guys want to make their money back on their Unilocal free hummus offer. I ordered a shawarma combo plate(which should obviously come with pita bread for $ 14) and they asked me if I wanted to buy extra for $ 3 more. I said ONLYIFTHECOMBODOESNTCOMEWITHPITABREAD. He charged me for the bread. So there’s one of two things that’s wrong here. 1) the $ 14 combos don’t come with pita bread. Or 2) they try to rip off their customers. Either way, I won’t be frequenting this place whatsoever. Foods not even that great anyways.

What a disappointment! I’ve been craving a good Gyro… So I went on Unilocal and found this place. they have a check in offer for free hummus. so I thought great I’ll give it a try. I ordered my gyro and a piece of baklava and mentioned the free hummus with check in to the man behind the counter. For some reason the app would not open. I struggled with it and he rang up the order. I paid and he proceeded to put my sandwich together. by the time he had finished I still was unable to open the app on Unilocal to check in. I took my food and headed home. when I pulled a gyro out of the bag it look like a skinny burrito. When I opened the wrapper up it still look like a skinny burrito. When I opened up the dried out Pita it fell apart. Inside there were only 4 small pieces of charred meat… Some wilted lettuce, two half slices of mushy tomato and two pieces of something purple and pickled. and unfortunately it tasted exactly as described. I took a bite of t but they tried to mask that by pouring honey all over it. As far as the review for the hummus. I couldn’t tell you because they did not give me any. Not even as a courtesy! Don’t waste your money here folks it’s far from authentic and the people in the kitchen we’re as white as I am.

The food here is really good. I grew up eating this kind of food and it reminded me of my moms cooking. I know many people on here complain that it’s not very good Mediterranean food, but I disagree. What people tend to forget is there is different parts of the Middle East and it really depends on which part your from how the food will taste. On this visit I enjoyed everything that I ordered and will return again. I do agree that the staff isn’t as friendly, but I’m used to the culture and I guess it is what it is. Are you really going there to hang out with the staff? Lol No your going to go eat, so stop complaining about that.

I ordered the chicken shawerma plate complete with rice, hummus, pita bread and baklava for dessert. Extremely satisfied with the taste n quality. Price was $ 9 for a great meal. Kabob chicken I tried was superb. Left me craving for another bite. For being a little shop, it has great flavor.

Mediterranean Terrace(MT) of La Habra. I’ve been here numerous times and i thought i already reviewed this place. wooops… The service is great. I mean, i’m always here pissing people off with my cigar smokes so you can say i got friendly with some of the businesses in the plaza. This is a family business and the son is here all the time. Talk about a hard worker!!! The son is courteous and helpful. He will patiently tell you what everything is and all that since it The overall theme is neat. They have a couple small tv’s and a crapload of inside seating and outside seating where everyone smokes including me. The hallway seating is prime because of the breeze but also filled with tobacco users. If you don’t like smoke then go elsewhere or stay inside. Although I am(surprisingly) polite with patrons who do not like cigar smoke, I don’t smoke when children are around, but going around coughing or acting disgusting will not work with the majority here. Now to relevant matters. Food: Pizza — They have a large one topping for $ 6+ and a smaller one for $ 5. The pizza is all bread. very little on top. If bread is your thing, then the pizza is good. What i do with a pizza is get a side of hummus for dipping… Chicken BBQ on the BBQ plate Damn good! the mother marinates and grills it in the morning(see pic). Her recipe is BOMB. BBQ plate comes with: Rice Two skewered bbq chicken pieces Humus Cabbage Salad with beets(purple stuff) Pita Bread All for $ 6 bucks. Hummus Really good. Bit oily for me, but it has nice flavor and texture. Very healthy. Rice I like the rice. It comes with hints of long grain rice. Very flavorful. If MT had cucumber based sauce like Mad Greek in Baker, the rice is off the hizzzoook(hook). Pita bread nice. small and thin. not too thick. Lamb Yummy. Bomb. My favorite here. Schwerma Haven’t tried it but my friend loves it here. Cabbage Salad. Pass. NEXT~!!! A full meal is less than $ 9.00. Great bargain. I hope you enjoy. A couple years ago when they opened, the food wasn’t that good, but now that they have some experience and possibly cause the owner’s mother began cooking it… Best Mediterranean/Lebanese food on the block. You can customize the food or plates. The guys aren’t too picky or shady on that however I heard reports that the Unilocal check in offers and the such are not valid here. I will ask the owners when I return shortly to smoke at night. Hope u enjoy. Happy Grubbings ya’ll.
