Great little French linen and gift shop. Bought a tablecloth and lavender soap. I could have listened to the gentleman who helped us all day with his French accent. He was very helpful.

Not happy after knowing that the 11″ Benidorm-dinner«Melamine» plates made in China are not entirely safe for serving«hot» food. Bought two sets and now I’m stuck with them. Probably will throw them in the garbage or wait til my next trip to La Jolla for an exchange. The FDA says that there is a chemical reaction left over on melamine plates that can migrate very slowly out of the plastic into food, the risk is very low in adults, but not in children. I trusted this so call French store, Cote Sud, didnt see any warning signs about melamine before buying them.

Nice charming French boutique. Great for christmas gifting ideas, have items for the kitchen, living room and handmade soaps. Good courteous service.

The person who runs this place could use an attitude adjustment. Period. If he would set his ego aside and simply help customers who actually walk in that would be great. Smile more!

I absolutely love this store. I bring all my out of town visitors, both friends and family to Côté Sud. Frederick is not only friendly, but also very knowledgeable. The fantastic array of tablecloths, dishes, bath products, and other home accessories from France will keep you intrigued for quite a while. This is quite the little gem in La Jolla.
