Amazing sambusas and great service!!! Perfect flakiness on the outside and soft warm deliciousness on the inside. Minced beef and potato are my favorite!

Their sambusas and plates are extremely good and very reasonably priced. I am a vegetarian and get their black eyed peas plate every Tuesday when they set up their stall at the UCSD farmer’s market. The plate comes with rice, black eyed peas, a side salad, choice of one sambusa(coconut, lentil, potato, spinach, beef or chicken) and wonderful glass of iced tea. They also provide catering. If you have a party, give these guys a call, your guests will love their food !! The best part is that this a family run business and the guys who run this business are also students at San Diego State. Kudos to managing both school work and a wonderful food business.

Best of the best. As you can see from the 5 star reviews — these sambusas are incredible. I rarely eat outside of my house because I’m extremely picky about what I put into my body and this is one of the very few things I will eat besides my own cooking. They are incredible. The customer service is always awesome and I’m happy to support a small business like this. I’m even thinking about having them cater my Christmas dinner at my house. Yes they are that good.

I’ve used Red Sambusas for many catering events and they have been the best. Not only is their food delicious but their service is impeccable. Definitely get them for your next event.

I love these delicious little triangles of loveliness. We had RED Sambusas at a work event last year and I’m glad I got a business card. I needed to cater for a party not long ago and I knew that sambusas would be a hit. They were! I’ve now developed a craving for them.

I love love this place! I honestly look forward to Tuesday’s on campus just so I can get this awesome and delicious deal. I always get 6 sambusas for $ 5! So cheap! The sambusas are pretty decently sized –about the size of a laptop mouse pad(I had to think really hard for this size reference hahaha). Can’t forget to mention the 2 guys that always work the tent! They’re super cool and are super efficient. Even though the lines get long, it goes by quick! Try all the different kinds! :)

My sister and I come almost every week to the temecula farmers market for their sambusas. Sambusa Saturday we call it :)! They are so delicious, you can’t beat the price, and the brothers who run it are so friendly and nice to talk to :)! Definitely recommend checking them out– and we will be using them for catering for our next party!

Good food, really nice guys. They come down from Riverside to bring UCSD a tasty option for an affordable price. Better than anything that can be found on campus.

Tried their sambusas for the first time today and I can’t get enough! Red should really open a restaurant! I tried all 6 options and the spinach, lentil, and coconut fillings were my favorite. The curry chicken, beef, and potato sambusas all tasted very similar. HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHECOCONUT– full of cream cheese, coconut and pineapple goodness. Just be sure to contain your excitement for these little pockets of heaven; I burned the roof of my mouth eating a potato sambusa fresh out of the fryer.

I absolutely love this place. I have had them caterer several events at work and Mohammed is so wonderful to work with! He always responds in a very timely fashion, the prices are unbeatable and EVERYONE.LOVES.THE.SAMBUSAS. You cannot go wrong with meat options, vegan and vegetarian options, savory and sweet. What a crowd pleaser! I also love visiting them at the UCSD farmer’s market for a bag ‘o sambusas!

We pick up these little pockets of delight at the Temecula Farmers Market. All of the flavored are intensely delicious! And the iced tea is amazing, sweet and spicy. Keep up the great eats and if you haven’t tried this place you’re missing out!

I can’t say enough good things about RED! I needed to feed 25 adults at our house last month, and was looking for someone to deliver food mid-event. I made a reservation with RED very last minute — 2 days before the event — and they were awesome about communicating with me, adjusting my order when I needed more, and delivering around my schedule. To top it off, the sambusas were AMAZING. We had the spinach, potato, curry chicken, coconut cream cheese and beef sambusas, and they were equally delightful! So many people asked me where they came from and each had a different favorite. I would say the coconut and chicken are the most unique if you’re looking for a different flavor, but my personal faves were the beef and potato. We got the chafing dish with our order, which the owner set up for us, and the food stayed warm all night. We even reheated leftovers the next day and they were just as good. Would highly recommend RED for food, service, and catering!

Forgot my lunch at home and had no idea what to eat and of course Unilocal came to the rescue. After searching for a good half an hour finally found something that sounded good. RED Sambusas definitely didn’t disappoint. Food was very reasonable and the 3 guys working the stall were all super nice. Ordered the chicken curry combo with rice and salad, the curry was all right, I normally prefer green Thai curry or tikka masala. But Red Sambusas’s were a bit more on the sweet side; don’t get me wrong it was still good. The curry had raisins, peppers, peas, carrots and onion cooked with chicken cubes poured on top of rice and it came with a side salad, sambusa and an ice tea. The sambusas on the other hand were super YUMMMY ! Got 6 sambusas for 5.00 and thought I’ll be good and eat it at my desk; those suckers never had a chance. I inhaled it in my car; the curry chicken, coconut, lentils and beef sambusas were sooo good, I can’t wait for next Tuesday to get some more.

My husband and I love getting a yummy snack from here at the Temecula farmers market. Our favorites are the spinach and coconut cream but all the flavors are delicious! I’d buy them by the dozens if I could!

I AMSAMBUSAOBSESSED. Every Tuesday I grab the 6 for $ 5 sambusas deal at UCSD farmer’s market; it’s literally a mid week pick-me-up. They’re cooked so perf and not too greasy so I don’t feel too guilty when eating them on the weekly. I love love love the lentil and chicken curry, while the other flavors are good as well. Those other flavors are beef, potato, spinach, and coconut. Don’t be afraid to try the coconut flavor! It’s not as odd as some may think, but I’m a fan of sweet/savory so I enjoy them. The line for sambusas usually moves quick! I didn’t know they sold their sambusas at the Food Co-Op but I saw a sign once when passing by. If I crave them on a day other than Tuesday, you best believe I’ll be checking them out! *don’t forget to check-in for 1 free sambusa!*

I had the curry chicken plate with the minced beef sambusa and it was delicious! The mango beverage, which I think is mango nectar juice, was also really good since it wasn’t too sweet compared to the mango juice you could buy at a supermarket. I personally think the meal deal here is more worth it than all the other stalls at the farmer’s market at UCSD since its a full plate of food and a drink for only $ 7. Also, if you check in on Unilocal, you can get a free sambusa!

Pretty good Sambusas! Got 6 for $ 5 and was not disappointed. They have minced beef, curry chicken, spinach, lentil, potato, and coconut cream, which was a sweet one. I have tried everyone except the curry chicken, and weirdly my favorite has to be the coconut cream. It’s super creamy with bits of fruits inside, which balanced the sweetness of the coconut perfectly. My least favorite has to be the spinach, mainly because it’s spicy and too salty to my liking. Overall good quality of food, and realllly affordable!

I’ve been eating here for at least 5 years, off and on when I have to be at UCSD. Service is personal and amazing. The same guys have been running this stand for as long as I’ve been eating there. Food is terrific. I’ve tried everything on the menu multiple times and everything is consistently great. My favorite is the lentil and spinach sambusas! Check in on Unilocal to get a free sambusa. Two complaints: 1. While I love the mango juice, I do wish they still had their honey tea. I’m not sure when they started selling mango juice instead, but years ago, I would always get their honey tea. Sweet and full of delicious spices. Wish they’d give me the recipe. 2. Line can be long at times — well, it sucks to be popular sometimes, huh?
