thumbs up. jarit was an excellent guide and took good care of us. my wife was worried about not being a good rider but it didnt matter. beautiful tour of la jolla. the electric bikes give you a nice bump in performance to get you up hills that would otherwise be considered a big suck. views were beautiful, the ride was casual and fun, and jarit was funny. id do it again!

Had an awesome 2 hour bike tour with Jared. He was extremely knowledgable and very friendly. We were in a small group of three and had a wonderful time. Also, it was easy to use their website to book our tour ahead of time. We would highly recommend San Diego Fly Rides to anyone who is looking for something fun and unique to do in San Diego.

They have the absolute best customer service, they have knowledge of the product, and their prices are very competitive. For these reasons, this the only electric bike store that you want to go to.

Awesome place! Great bikes, friendly staff! The one guy who works there, JJ I think his name is extremely friendly and the man! The owner Ike is cool too, ask him to serenade a song for you! Definitely recommended to try out E-​Bikes if you’ve never done it before, you’ll never want to ride a regular bike ever again!

Great customer service from both men and were so happy we decided to rent the electrical bikes from them as there is several hills here and it totally helped a lot! So worth the money I would totally recommend anyone and everyone to rent from them!

I pre ordered a 2015 Easy Motion Evo 27.5 bike in November 2014. Ike would frequently touch base with me on the status of my order, and I was so excited to hear that it was ready for pick-​up January 2015! I was very glad that San Diego Fly Rides offered 18 months financing at 0% APR, so owning an e-​bike fits in my budget. I have ridden that bike every day since my purchase.
Recently, I had issues with the bike failing during the rides. I called Ike up and he was very flexible for when I could drop the bike off to be checked out and tuned up. He fixed my bike right up and it rides great!
Ike is very friendly knowledgeable about electric bikes. It is his passion. I have been to other electric bike shops around San Diego, and SD fly rides has the best vibes out of all of them. Ike and his staff are laid back, informative, professional, and most importantly, then love what they do! If you’re in the market for an e-​bike, go to San Diego fly rides and test out one of their many bikes! You won’t regret it!

We had a great time on the morning bike tour! Jared was very personable and fun. We loved the electric bike… so much so my husband would like to buy one! :) The bikes were very easy to ride. They were also extremely helpful in making suggestions for the remainder of our trip (i.e. places to eat, hang out, etc.). I would definitely recommend San Diego Fly Rides! It was one of the highlights of our trip!

Wasn’t really expecting much about this experience. But as our day started the bikes are great and the electronic motors are really needed and great and fun to drive. Didn’t know why I needed a tour guild but with out him there was no way I would have seen the amazing views and places in La Jolla area. Jerrod a.k.a. JJ was amazing and knew what he was doing. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the amazing San Diego area beaches and natural areas and to do it on a bike was that much more better

The power assist bikes were great! Going up to Mt. Soledad was a piece of cake. The price was reasonable and included locks, helmets, water and snacks. The service was wonderful. I highly recommend renting here.

This ride was beautiful and easy! It allowed you to get a wonderful taste of San Diego beach scene but also allowed you to enjoy time with whoever is in your party! The group size is kept small so it is fun! I would 100% recommend this! The tour guide Jaret was great!

We took the morning tour and loved it! We arrived a little early to the store and instantly felt taken care of, we were greeted by name and went directly to picking out our bikes. I loved the feel of the eBike! It helps if you already ride a bike, but definitely not a requirement. Once you get used to the little bit of extra «help» the ride is easy, including the fact that La Jolla is very, very hilly. Jaret was our guide and he was awesome! We made several stops during our morning ride where he gave us some details and history of the area and took lots of great pics… When we returned to the home base, the owner, Ike, greeted us and we had a great conversation with him. He gave us a couple of lunch recommendations which we loved! We will definitely book this again if we ever make it back to La Jolla.

We took the Riveria tour in the morning. Tour was to be about 2.5 hours and we started to get our bikes at about 10 am and ended it at around 1:30. We visited a bunch of sites and did a lot of biking. One rider experienced an issue with her bike and the owner came out very quickly and had a replacement. My bike’s power stopped working on the ascent of the mountain. Every time it stopped it was very difficult to start, because I’d have to wait, turn it back on, and manage to start petaling without falling over on the steep incline with cars coming on the one side of me. That was not fun. Was surprised/​disappointed that our guide didn’t switch bikes with me right there. Some people in my groups passed me and I think one of the girls told him I was still having issues. Sucked it up and just petaled as hard as I could (I bike regularly) at the end. Someone not as athletic or older could not have done that. Also surprised the guide didn’t keep on looking back after I started to have issues, I just met up with the group at the top of the mountain. Very disappointed on how that was handled.
The overall experience was fun and enjoyable, except when my bike’s power stopped because the battery was overheated. Would still recommend to my athletic friends. The owner is passionate about the business, and was really great to us.

Wow, this is the place to get your eBike! Ike’s knowledge and service was amazing and he expertly helped me narrow down what I should get based on my riding. I ended up with a Haibike All Mountain and Ike gave me absolutely the best price I could find anywhere!
I grew up a fairly avid mountain biker (mostly downhill) but got out of the sport for a while. In late 2012 I tore my ACL on a motorcycle, so after an operation and some physical therapy, I was advised to go back to low impact sports (like biking). I bought a nice GT all mountain bike and started riding again… the problem was that I just couldn’t climb like I used to and it was painful when I tried. The guys I ride with are not the US Marines (although fit enough to be); so they will leave a man behind.
I started researching options to help me keep up with them on steep NorCal Mountain climbs… and I quickly learned about electric bikes (I’d never seen these before). I know some «purest» (a few of my buddies included) think these things are the devil, but for me it makes the sport accessible again. Heck, I might not even need to shuttle with this thing! There are many all mountain options (Haibike, BH Bikes, Felt, Lapierre, iZip, ext) and while researching online I just happened to stumble on SD Fly Rides so I called. Ike patiently guided me through my options and helped me get the best deal on my Haibike! (I called about 5 or 6 other dealers and no one would touch his pricing)!
Thanks Ike and team for making my buying experience easy… I’m sure I’ll get asked about the bike, and I know where to send them to get one!

Loved! Loved! Loved! Had such a great time exploring La Jolla with San Diego Fly Rides electric bikes. Ike was super helpful, provided great info. on the bikes, where to go, what to check out, showed us how to use the online maps and pre-​planned routes.
We used the bikes as our transportation around La Jolla, rented them for about 3 days, and they definitely made our vacation the best.
E-​bikes and San Diego Fly Rides is the way to go!

Great customer service from the moment I called to find out about availability and info about the bike rentals until we returned the bikes after a fantastic and scenic 3 hour ride! This was my first trip to La Jolla and a perfect way to explore the town after driving 100 miles one way to finding out our snorkeling tour (with another company) was cancelled.
Although I didn’t know what an electric bike was, Ike, the owner, was very informative and patient with us as we tapped into our procedural memory of how to ride a bike and practiced in the alley behind the shop! He had us excited and pumped up to go and I was even more impressed with the bike and entire experience upon returning to the shop!
Now I’m considering purchasing a bike. But either way, I will definitely be returning when I come back to La Jolla and have already started recommending San Diego Fly Rides to my friends and family!

Absolutely a great experience. At first when we arrived and learned they were out of the beach cruisers, we were a bit disappointed. The only option was the more expensive electric bikes, which we had never ridden before. After a quick chat with the store owner, he quickly reaffirmed the electric bikes are great for the hilly terrain around here.
On top of that, he discounted the bikes a fair amount given he didn’t have the beach cruisers. So we ended up going with them and WOW!!!
Can’t say enough good things about the electric bikes! They are so easy to use and you’ll be very thankful on those uphill roads. You won’t regret upgrading to an electric bike.
Finally the service… They provided waters, sunblock and some snacks. What more could you ask for?
Great spot. Don’t waste time looking another place — just come here.
Also it’s tucked away a little given the shop is in a little plaza so if you here, just know it’s just past the Italian restaurant when you arrive at it’s address.
