Sher Mizushima

Sher is one of a kind and so talented. Her personality shows in her work. Not only is she an amazing person to be around but I am always taken aback on how she creates such beauty. I love flipping through her pictures for ideas on what I can do next. Meeting up with her and Karen for a hair session is one of my favorite times. I look forward to it each time knowing that not only am I leaving the salon with amazing hair but I am also leaving full of laughs and love. She is one to be adored as a stylist and a unique talented sweetheart. I can’t wait to see what she does to my hair for my wedding day.

Sher is absolutely amazing! Getting your hair done by Sher — from start to finish — is an experience. Definitely great person to talk and hangout with while she works her magic on your hair. I’ve been going to Sher for a long time now and I’ve never been disappointed! I’m always impressed by her talent. What I love most is that she is constantly able to come up with new ideas for my next visit. Till next time!

Sher has a gift! She warms up my color each visit while making it manageable between visits. I am a manager in cosmetics at a retailer here in SD. I need me hair color to be on point. I don’t have a lot of free time, I am a mom and a wife and I hate spending time away from my family, but Sher always delivers a strong and beautiful look.
I can go up to 6 months with her balyage ombré look and still keep it fresh.

Many times in my life where I’ve taken pictures to my stylists to capture the look I want… many times have they failed… but not Sher! I don’t even have to show her pictures. I just describe it and Sher just envisions and executes… and with each haircut, color, ombré, blowout… I’m in awe! The styles are so Instagram worthy, that I have to take a hair selfie picture right away. And believe me I’m not much of a picture taker, but I really had to show off what a true hair artist Sher is. If you want your hair to be transformed from Ugly to beautiful then you must go to Sher. She’s a true perfectionist, she’s not happy until you are happy! Come to think of it I gotta make my next appointment pronto before she gets booked out for months! So if you want a great compliment worthy haircut or color book your appointment now or regret it later.

Sher’s THE BEST! I’ve gone to her for several hair transformations & she never lets me down. Aside from being a master at her craft, she is one of the most beautiful souls inside and out. I have never felt more comfortable in someone’s chair. And she is in high demand. I will never go to anyone else. It’s not just a job to Sher, it’s her passion. She aims to please!

I came across Sher on Instagram and saw her work… I fell in love with her Ombré work! So if you’re looking for Ombré she’s absolutely the person to go too. I’ve never been so happy with my hair color before! She’s such a doll and gives you exactly what you ask for.

Sher is absolutely incredible! She is the best colorist and stylist that I have ever gone to and I refuse to see anyone else but her. I am not someone who trusts people with my hair and I am extremely picky about what I want, but with Sher I never stress because I know she will make my hair look fabulous. Don’t waste your time going to other stylists, because she will give you the exact cut and color that you’re hoping for. I can’t say it enough, go see Sher! Sher has completely transformed the look and feel of my hair over the years. She is a fan of long beautiful hair so she doesn’t insist on «over cutting» like my past stylists.
She’s an absolute PRO when it comes to color. She listens to what you want and takes the time to perfectly execute it!

WOW!!! Where should I start? Sher has been styling my hair and my kids hair for the last several years. She managed to fix and correct the color and damage that my previous «stylist» lefty hair in and I would NEVER consider going to anyone else. I have long/​thick hair which you would assume would cost a fortune to work on but Sher keeps her prices fair compared to the hundreds other salons in LJ or even SD would charge! Sher is a master at color and a magician with the shears… LOVE her work!

Sher is amazing and I wouldn’t trust anyone else when it comes to my hair! I have been going to her for many years and love her warm personality and amazing style. I usually have a hard time trying out anything new when it comes to cut/​color but felt relieved when she listened to my needs and made recommendations based on her experience and expertise. I was in love with my new look which opened up so many doors and the ability to try out different hair colors and styles that I have always wanted to but never had enough trust in my hair stylist. I would definitely recommend booking your next appointment with Sher at Salon Sage in La Jolla!

Sher is amazing!!! First off, she was able to fit me in and work around my schedule in such short notice. Which was super convenient! I showed her 2 – 3 pics of what I wanted and what I didn’t want… And she knew exactly what to do and exactly the color/​style I was going for!
Although coloring takes quite a bit of time. It went by like a breeze. My hair is as thick as a mop and was pitch black– and I went for the ombré. So it took roughly 3 hours… BUT 3 hours definitely well spent!!! She’s a doll!!! And I can NOT wait to get my hair done again by her. Amazing!

I have known Sher for over 10 years I met her in beauty school & never left her side, she ROCKS!!. I love the fact that I can go with ideas that I have in mind and she comes out with ABSOULUTE GREAT RESULTS! Sher is not just a FANTASTIC Hairstylist but a AWESOME friend.
