Not the greatest selection of sunglasses despite being bigger than other Sunglass Huts I’ve frequented, but still probably the best choice for sunglass shoppping while visiting La Jolla. The staff was really helpful, but ultimately unable to sell me on anything due to their lack of athletic polarized glasses. With the polarized craze, be careful with your selection. Also make sure they don’t lump the youth shades in with the adult section like they did when I was there.

My brother and I went in here whilst visiting La Jolla for the day. He only purchased a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses which he was pleased with. The customer service here was so-so, okay to tell you the truth.

I’m used to nordstrom customer service, because that’s how it should be. When I walked in I was not greeted by the antisocial associate working — her name was Aveed — and I went along with trying on different pairs of glasses. When I was ready to check out, I took my glasses up to her and asked if they could be replaced with another pair, because the pair on display looked crooked. She denied that and I was sent home with the display which was $ 172 dollars. I later got home only to realize that I was in fact right, and the glasses were crooked, so now I have to go back to a different location to get a replacement. I’m not mad about the glasses, I’m mad about the customer service by Aveed or lack thereof. Employees need more training on how to interact with customers. One of my worst shopping experiences.

I just moved to la jolla and I needed to get my Maui Jim’s fitted because they were stretched from putting them on my head… I walked in and was instantly greeted by Sierra. She helped me immediately and showed my how scratched up my lenses were and told me how to get them serviced by Maui Jim! Plus she had me try on the gold ones(I have silver) now I need gold too. Great customer service I will be back. Thanks

Out of 50 reviews, Ive only once given 1 star. If only I could give this place negative stars. This was THE worst experience I have ever had in any business. I had purchased a pair of sunglasses that ended up having a major flaw. It was already past the return/exchange period but they offered to fix it. Well not only did they not fix it, they damaged it even more! I demanded some form of compensation but the manager nor the employee who damaged it took accountability. Their explanation was that I was allowing them to help me at my own risk. Somehow they managed to make their mistake as my fault because I trusted them. The way the manager spoke was so rude and condescending; there was no getting through to her. I left with my damaged glasses and damaged pride. I was treated very unfairly and I hope no one else experiences what I did.
