The Scripps Research Institute

And of Scripps he would have said:
” No, Sir, when a person is tired of TSRI, he/​she is tired of science; for there is in TSRI all that science can afford.”

TSRI is awesome!
It is a great place to work and there is a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, what more can you ask for!
Everyone is so smart and is really truly into what they do. On top of that they are very nice and more than willing to share their knowledge.

Just being in the zip code will likely increases your IQ by 10 points.
If you’re one of the lucky ones that work here, go to school here, or just have any reason to be here, consider yourself in good company. You’ll be surrounded by the crème de la crème of the science community. This place is a scientist’s paradise, complete with ocean view. Sometimes, being a nerd has its perks :)

The culmination of all that is science can be found here. Like a mall with hundreds of stores, there are labs within labs that study everything from stem cells to cocaine all the way to unnatural amino acids and most fundedly the decryption of the 7 secret herbs and spices from KFC (They’re down to 6).
Things you will see on the Sci-​Fi Channel (HD) are literally based on what goes on here. Don’t be surprised to rub elbows with Nobel Prize winners and other rockstars of the scientific community… and yes they drive everything from Ferrari’s to Maserati’s to Carrera GT3’s and have their own cult following of nerd groupies.
The sheer mass of intelligence and moral drive concentrated within this facility can and will change the fate of humanity for the better. This I am sure. Now all they have to work on is the cafeteria.

Nobody has reviewed this place yet?! Now I really want to give the Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) a lil’ bit of Unilocal love.
Let me count the reasons why.
1) It’s one of the world’s most prestigious and influential medical research institutions. Just showing up makes you feel scholarly.
2) It’s got Nobel winners and National Academy members and other world-​renowned scientists crawling all over the place. If you’re lucky you’ll run into one and pick up some of their cooties. But they’ll deny that there’s any such thing as cooties.
3) It’s next door to some of the finest hospitals in southern California.
4) It’s a stone’s throw from some of the finest beaches in southern California (Torrey Pines, Black’s, La Jolla Shoes). That way you can hit the surf while taking a break from mingling with the aforementioned world-​renowned researchers. If you ask nicely, they might even join you.
Places like TSRI make me proud of this town!
