Went to this coffee shop based on Unilocal reviews. Upon entering, I was promptly greeted by one of the friendliest baristas I have ever met. We had an interesting conversation in which I informed her I was looking for a job in San Diego. At the end, she actually invited me to apply for a job there. While this was most appreciated, I had to politely decline as I have much experience drinking caffeinated drinks, but no experience making them. Either way, the gesture was appreciated. I ordered a cappuccino and a chai tea latte. Both were very good. The cappuccino was just bitter enough and milk appropriately foamed. The chai tea latte was smooth and good. After tasting how good these were, I knew I could not take a job here. There is no way I could make such great beverages. There is seating but not much. Fortunately, I found one. They have fast free wifi so I was able to get quite a bit of work done while drinking my tasty drinks. Overall, a fine strip mall coffee shop. Oh, there is plenty of free parking!

They serve a good Acai bowl, I had one back in July. They’re a little pricy. It’s a cute little place and I love the décor.

This place is lovely. I’m a sucker for sweet, milkshake-y coffee concoctions, and they have tons of fun options! But my boyfriend got a plain iced coffee which he also said was very good, so there’s something for everyone. I got one of the lunch paninis and my boyfriend got a breakfast sandwich. I would definitely try the breakfast sandwich again, but I wasn’t a fan of my turkey panini. The people working there are sweet, friendly, helpful, patient, etc. Even though it’s a little small, there is plenty of room to sit, relax, read, study, and sip your coffee. Really nice atmosphere. The place seems to have a following, plenty of regulars stopped in while we were there, but it wasn’t crazy busy or anything. I’ll definitely be back!

This place is awesome. I have never been to an espresso bar that showed so much care for their customers. It really feels like you’re home when you’re here. Definitely recommend here and the coffee is excellent too.

I come here for the fresh coffee beans they sell. It’s the only place I can find in La Mesa that has roast dates on their packages. Usually I find beans that only a month old or less here it makes for great coffee at home. Their espresso and other coffee drinks are also very good. The overall vibe in this place is great. Definitely a good alternative to Starbucks.

Such a cute locally owned coffee shop, always feels good to support local businesses and they try really hard here. Great menu, tons of both coffee and food options, real fruit smoothies which my son loved and several blended drink options which my husband and I loved! They are also able and willing to modify or make any drink you are in the mood for, greatly appreciated! Excellent quality coffee, really great service. Fair prices and portions, our drinks came out quickly and were very tasty. They also have a Unilocal deal which saves a bit, worth getting. Tons of easy parking and great hours, would return when in the area again!

If you want serious coffee, smoothies and other beverages that will be served fresh and with a smile, then you need to visit All The Perks Espresso Café, 8046 La Mesa Blvd., in the La Mesa Springs Shopping Center in La Mesa, CA91942. I just went to All the Perks Espresso Café a couple days ago. The store is located in a really big plaza in La Mesa, that is anchored by a Vons store. All the Perks Espresso Café is a small store, mom and pops styled. The café is clean but nothing really stands out in terms of the styling or design. The styling of this café is OK for this area of town but it would be blown away by the competition of cafes in north park, hillcrest, or downtown. I was attracted to this coffee shop due to the outstanding reviews and the pictures of nice latte art. Unfortunately I was let down on this trip. I ordered an Aloha latte to go in a large size and the quantity was spot on. It appears to be a 20 ounce cup and the price was around 4.50 which is superior to other small coffee shops who offer a 12 ounce latte for around 4 to 4.50 a cup. I opened the lid expecting to see some nice latte art but all I saw was a mess of foam and no art to speak of. I don’t know if the baristas purposely omitted the latte art because I ordered To Go but regardless this is a negative because other coffee shops will do the latte art in a To Go order. The drink was nothing to write home about either. It tasted like a weak latte mixed with syrups for taste so I primarily tasted a mild coffee that was sugared up with nutty syrup. Overall I’d give it 2 stars because I have drank better coffee in this area of town.

Cute place with reasonable prices. They close pretty early though. I’ve wanted coffee more than a few times in early evening and they’ve been closed so I go to Starbucks which is nearby. I’d rather give my money to a small business but when you are in requirement of caffeine, you go where they are open. Their coffee and service is good.

Nice, quiet coffeeshop atmosphere. The service was quick and friendly. I got the Park Avenue coffee and an acai bowl. The coffee was composed of vanilla, caramel, and hazelnut syrups so if you don’t have a sweet tooth I would advise ordering something else or asking to cut the sweetness. The acai bowl was a good breakfast to start my day. I spent a few hours studying at a table near the front of the store. The shop is small, but it’s a decent amount of space to get some work done. The baristas were very nice to everyone who walked in. Overall, very quaint. I enjoyed coming here very much!

I really was hopefully about finding a new coffee shop after The Treehouse closed. And not having to drive all the way to L Jolla for Birdrock Roasters would have been wonderful. But this may not be the place, and it definitely does not compete with the quality that the Treehouse presented(big sigh)… I ordered a caramel latte, which was just average, and a croissant, which at 7:30am should have been fairly fresh, but was not. My search for an east county coffee shop is turning into the Iliad… waaayyyyyy too long.

We stayed in La Mesa for a recent San Diego vacation and stopped by this little café for a quick lunch. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a big bay window with seating at the front. I got a strawberry banana smoothie to start. I basically chugged the thing it was so delicious. I highly recommend getting the biggest size possible. I also got the caprese sandwich, one of their specials. Absolutely delicious!!! If we are back in La Mesa again… this is where we’re coming!

Hands down my go-to spot for coffee in my ‘hood. Environment: The shop itself is a tad smaller, but it is very cozy and offers a beyond-friendly environment for studying or hanging out. Seating for about 20 – 25. What matters most: Great coffee! I usually get the iced coffee or whatever fancy option they have available that day. They change up their concoctions often too. Food: Solid sandwich and salad options. Also some small finger-food items as well. Staff: Love the people that work here! They are mostly from the same Argentinian family too. Pets: They will bring a water bowl to your dog. Yes, they are that nice.
