This is the worst complex in San Diego, the manager is absolutely crazy. She tows tenants cars, she will raise your rent if she doesn’t like you, and I have herd her yelling at people, as well as taking pills in her office. Avoid these apartments until they decide to hire someone else.

Beautiful landscaping is the best thing I can say about Chevy Chase Apartments. Management was not responsive even when there was no electricity due to bad electrical wires in my unit. SDG&E showed more concern for my family and I, although my rent was paid on time EVERY month to Chevy Chase. I was disappointed on more than one occasion waiting for calls back to urgent situations. Management seems nice on the surface but is not always fair or honest. I took very good care of my apartment while living there and somehow ended up with almost $ 200.00 in charges to my deposit. I will follow-up on that. There are agencies out there to help with that sort of issue. That has never happened to me at any other complex. My suggestion is; unless you are REALLY desperate keep looking. I sure wish I would had.

I’m a resident of Chevy Chase and I like it here. Small pool with laundry and sweet 700+ square foot nice apartment with hill side views of Spring Valley. I say nice inside because my kitchen has a cool bar area. Taken care of carpet, new looking bathroom and sliding big closet in bedroom. We have security that walks around at night, also a groundskeeper that keeps plants and trees growing. It’s next to a strip mall with a decent mix of food. This complex is next to a liquor store that in my opinion can clean up their area around dumpsters. I have seen some improvement. Also it’s by the freeway, cars and motorcycles love peeling out or gassing it up at corner. So it’s not a place that’s super quiet. I give it 5STARS because manager has paid for my carpet cleaning, fixed leaky faucet next day and had my tub refinished.

Lived here for 6 years, and although my apartment was very spacious, the complex itself wasn’t safe, and had way too much illegal activity going on and nothing being done about it. My husband and I stayed as long as we could, then after a disgruntled resident set his apartment on fire in the middle of the night destroying three other apartments, and putting many at risk. That was the last draw for us.

Previous resident of 3.5 years. Manager is lecherous-be forewarned. Gossip-mongers, & do goody-goody bible thumpers out toss folks out who don’t conform. The neighborhood is decent, but last managers were fired for«inappropriate conduct». Don’t get bamboozled.
