Erik Gilbertson, MD

Overall ok experience and several growths on my foot and went through a painful procedure which was supposed to be completed at the hospital but was never mentioned to me until I came in for the appointment. Growths came back which isn’t the Doc’s fault just seemed a little unorganized but overall good experience and clean office.

I’ve been a patient for a while now. Waiting room is no longer of a wait than any other physician I’ve ever been to, and better than some (with reference to the 1 star reviewer and long wait times). Dr. Gilbertson seems to really know what he’s doing, has a great bedside manner, and has been voted as a «top doctor» by San Diego Magazine for 4 years (the count on the 2012 SD Magazine Top Doctors page, so he may very well have more years with that credential at this point).

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gilbertson for 10 years. He is extremely thorough and a very kind person. Even though he’s a dermatologist, he diagnosed me with another disease that my primary care physician didn’t even notice. Dr. Gilbertson single-​handedly extended my life probably another 5 to 10 years just by making me aware of my other condition. Many thanks to Dr. Gilbertson and his staff for taking such great care of me and my entire family for all these years. I did see the review that mentioned the long wait times. Good physicians are in high demand and with the new healthcare rules that our government is imposing, people better get used to long wait times. I don’t believe it’s Dr. Gilbertson’s call, it’s the wave of the future. Bring a good book, he is worth the wait!!!

This physician OVERBOOKS patients and the waiting times are excruciating, all at least an hour later than your scheduled appointment. The waiting room in like a cattle call. He needs to limit his number of patients to manage the schedule and wait times. It greatly affects the quality of your practice and is not fair to patients. AVOID this place.
