Lighthouse Termite Control

This review is long overdue! I’m a realtor and have worked with several termite companies over the years. Jim, the owner of Lighthouse, has over 25 years of experience in his field. I met him a few years ago when he used to work for another termite company and I really liked his work ethic. He’s BIG on customer service and it’s hard to find companies that still make this a priority.
Jim and his team have always gone above and beyond for my clients. They are very HONEST with the work that has to be done. As busy as they are, they have always taken the time to explain things in detail and are more than happy to walk the property to show you the exact work that has to be completed. They always take the extra steps to ensure that their clients are satisfied. Every person that I have referred to them has LOVED them. .I guess as much as you can love a termite company. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending their services to anyone that needs termite work. Inspections are free and their rates are very competitive!

I have used this termite company a few times now and they are always so helpful, honest and upfront– even when it means they are not making money. I genuinely appreciate that. Jim the owner even took the time to meet me at my house and walked me through how I can treat and do preventative maintenance myself to keep costs down. I have also referred Jim and his team to a few family members who have also been very happy with the level of customer service and professionalism they received.

If I could give this company a 0, I would. Jim, the owner, is not very truthful at all and he takes every attempt to cut corners in order to save a dollar. When his crew fumigated my deceased parents vacant house, they stepped on a sprinkler pipe, cracking it causing water to run for 24 hrs. (Hugh water bill). Didn’t find out about it until a neighbor called and said their backyard was being flooded. Also, in the process of pulling the tent off the house they broke 19 roof tiles. He stated that since I didn’t sign the warranty, he was not liable. When I pulled up the paperwork, I was not even offered the warranty! We came to an agreement that he would cover half of the cost to replace the tiles. There were extra roof tiles in the garage, enough to replace the 19 broken tiles. In front of several people, he stated that he would get his Roofer out there to replace the tiles. He called that afternoon and informed me his Roofer would be there the next day. When I went by the house, I could not believe what he was doing. He had hired a worker, cheap labor, and himself to replace the roof tiles. The worker he hired was walking on the roof and broke 60 TILES!!! Yes, 60 tiles. He was told to get off the roof!!! He cleaned up and left. My realtor called their roofer and he came out gave us a quote. So, now since Jim used up most of our tiles we had, we now have to buy 60 more tiles and pay more to get the job done right! Finding out later, his company does not offer the warranty on tile roofs. Now why didn’t he mention that to me before. Personally, this is just my opinion, he seems a little shady and I would NEVER recommend Lighthouse Termite. They are unprofessional, cuts corners to save a buck, and takes no pride in their workmanship. And most of all, not truthful!

I am a realtor and this is the third time I used Lighthouse Termite Control. They are the best! On two separate occasions, I needed to schedule termite ASAP and no other termite company could schedule within 48 hours. Last time, Lighthouse was able to schedule for next morning and this time Lighthouse was able to do it within the hour. Their customer service is on point — thank you Max! Jim, Cesena the owner is as professional as it gets, very nice genuine man and an expert with over 25 years of experience. This company is also very affordable and termite inspection is FREE! How much better can it get?!
I don’t really use Unilocal,but I was so impressed, I went on here and even added them as a business because I highly highly recommend their services. :)
