My daughter and I had a great time. Please realize this is a very small museum and they are only open on Saturday’s from 1 – 4. They still have a Train, Box Car and Caboose. We still had fun look and reading about the station.

Great photo ops for photographers for that vintage look.

one of the coolest thing you can find in la mesa… an 0−6−0 davenport locomotive, a box cart, and a caboose. and a small depot house with a working signal and a telegraph set. the history of both the depot and the rolling stock are on the brochure. there was a volunteer telling us everything we wanted to know about the depot without being over bearing. you could climb into the caboose and into the pilots house of the locomotive. it’s well kept, clean, and informative. as a locomotive and railroad fan, this is a very neat and great find. i love the hand’s on-ness of the museum and the friendliness of the staff… and that i was able to walk right up to and on to the actual displays… and there is no gift store selling those annoying train whistles… last word? all aboard!

Quiant little museum along Spring Street, free. A small depot with a display of a real train with engine and two cars that you can walk inside and tour. Saturday, 1−4pm. Metered parking, .25 for 20 minutes.
