Best. Training. Ever. I’ve taken several classes from Safewest and each one has been informative, practical, and fun(unlike most boring, mandatory workplace training). We get to keep the manuals, and there’s also a student portal-type thing on the website for practice. The instructor even gave out his contact info in case we thought of any questions later :) The First Aid/CPR/AED class was awesome — covered all the expected material in an actually useful way. Like learning how to use gloves properly by putting them on, him spraying shaving cream all over them(like blood and other nasty body stuff), and then having to get them off without contaminating ourselves. Plus a funny video clip here and there so we didn’t get bored. For fire safety, you use an extinguisher in training scenarios to put out an actual fire. Crazy! Long story short, now I know what to do if one of the kids in my family chokes or if a client suddenly collapses or if the toaster oven in the break room catches fire(again). It’s workplace-required, but honestly it’ll probably come in useful most often for day to day life. Ten out of ten: would resuscitate a practice dummy with Safewest again.
