A lot of people told me about this place… I was excited to try it but the fact that I had to wait an hour for my order made me not want to come back… I had to ask for my money back because it’s not possible that a lot of people came in and out of the restaurant and they still didn’t have my order ready… It was one medium pizza by the way. I would give it ZERO stars if I could…

Food was great. Amazing pizza! Was a little sad the sound got turned off for the UFC fight but that’s okay.

I been coming to Ambrose for 16 years. It’s the best pizza. I move up North, in 2011, I move back 2015. It’s not the same they gave me pizza cold. And they rude to me. I found a new pizza parlor it’s call pizza mania a lot better.

Answer your phone people! Every time I call I get a busy signal or nobody answers! Get a second line it is not that hard! Also, Customer service is horrible. Plan on waiting a long ass time for a large pizza and wings. People that came after me were getting their items before me. Pretty ridiculous. All the employees look lost and have no direction. The pizzas go in the oven randomly, not in order of receipts.

Love a place where I can watch UFC fights. Cover isn’t so bad during fight nights. Pizza is good but the best is their portobello ravioli. I have to get my fix from time to time.

My wife and my two kids came on a Sunday when Raiders and Broncos were playing. The place was full but it was very peaceful. This is good for a family person. We order one large meat lovers pizza, 3 drinks and a pitcher of Blue Moon was $ 39.77. Our order was ready in about 20 mims. Which is ok based on the number of people during our visit(every table was occupied). To the readers, SoCal pizza is 1st choice, Ambrose is 2nd choice(not too far). To the people in charge at Ambrose: ****Please clean the man’s bathroom more often. You may get 5 stars next time**** I will definitely come back. But please clean the bathrooms more often. :)

Large pizza slice is awesome and the real reason we keep coming back are the wings, some of the best I’ve had. A nice little establishment to chill have some beer, watch a game and stuff your face with great food. We travel all the way from Fontana whenever we get the chance

Great place for pizza. I love going to all the little pizza joints around my city and when I came across Ambrose pizza it instantly become my favorite place to get some grub. Pizzas are huge and are sold at a good price. Some arcade games, which ended adding some extra fun to my visit, inside a decent size dining room with some football on the big monitors. Just how you would picture a sort of family owned pizza place. Staff is friendly and quick. Didn’t wait to long for my giant slice of heaven and you can choose to have a cold brew with your pizza either by the glass or the pitcher. This is definitely my got-to pizza destination. I highly recommend pizza lover to try this place as soon a your pizza cravings start because this place is great. 5 starts for sure.

I love their pizza and salad! Crust is on point and slices are huge. The salads are delicious and their homeade ranch and italian dressing is sooooo good. Everytime I tell myself I’ll try something else and walk in and order the same thing again. Still haven’t found a place that tops them. Staff is awesome!!!

I moved to La Mirada last year and somebody told me about this place. So I came in order a few slices of pizza then realize how humongous they are it’s crazy you can’t believe what a large slice looks like and it’s only five or six bucks. The pizza is really good, not greasy, crust is delis and very affordable I will be a lifelong customer the job Ambrose.

Called my order in. went in and paid. and still waited 25 minutes on top of the 30 minutes quoted on the phone. Grabbed a slice before i got in the car .n Pizza was Soggy with the black olive juice and it was cold. Did i wait while it was sitting there getting cold. wings looked a wreck and were dry like buffalo wing jerky. kept pulling out hard chunks of dry ass chicken. completely inedible!!! only thing that came out right was my salad. Such and shame cus I remember them being better Update. never mind. the antipata salad was floating in olive juice. The Italian dressing was mostly oil. lacked vinegar. Black Olive water & oil antipasta salad. fml! Way to RUIN my meal guys. all went in the garbage. Wasted my MONEY !! My recommendation is DONOT leave that store without checking your order for the same issues. Wing sauce was good. but those wings were over cooked & dry and inedible bunch of immature teenie boppers goofing arpund. «working» & nobody was trained properly or knows what they are doing in the kitchen. Y’all need to spend a day to teach these kids how to cook wing. drain olives. not makr the pizza crust so darn thick & tastes like cardboard. Antipasta Salad should not be swimming in olive juice. My garlic bread was soft & soggy from the steam due to being wrapped too quick when it came out of oven & sat too long… seriously ambrose. Get it together … ask your staff if you want to shut down? Or stay in business?

This place really impressed me. I went here with a large group of friends, and we came half an hour before they closed. They still took our orders and let us stay half an hour after closing time. They usually charge for soda refills, but since they closed they didn’t charge. Their pizza is delicious, fresh and the portions are enormous. There is a lot of flexibility with what you can put on a pizza, which is super nice. Order a small, because it will still feed two people easily. Great pizza for a good price.

I’ve been here about 4 times and I think they have the best-tasting pizza with the worst crust. The crust is too tough, but I think the toppings, especially the cheese, are really good. If I found flavor like this with a softer crust, then I would go there. Their prices are hard to beat, too. 5 dollars for a huge slice is another reason I like coming here. I have had their Philly roast beef sandwich, too; they use the same mozzarella cheese as their pizzas, and that’s part of what makes it so good. The beef is well-seasoned and not salty at all and the bread is also nice and soft, so it’s not like their pizza crust. XD. As a side, I got potato wedges. They were not bad, and it was a huge thing of wedges. Typing this makes me want to go back, so yes I recommend them, even with the crust XD.

My co-worker recommended this place to me so I decided to try it out with the husband. The Unilocal reviews did not reassure me but I figured I would keep an open mind and give it a try. The plaza where this place is located is a bit sketchy looking at night. The day may be a bit better. At first glance, I was not really sure it was even open. We proceeded to walk in and rest assured it was still open. My husband’s first complaint was the place smelled like chuck e cheese :/I encouraged him not to judge the place by its cover. We placed our order and got two large pizza slices and one small drink. My toppings were jalapeño/pepperoni/mushroom. My husband got pepperoni and bacon. Seating: large seating area. The place is older looking so if you’re looking for a fancy pizza place, this is not it. Entertainment: two large flat screens for game watchers and lots of mini arcade games for kids. Service: the gal at the register was very nice and swift taking out orders. Besides that, there was not many additional opportunities for them to service us. We went back for sofa refills at the counter ourselves. Price: very affordable even though it was not the lunch special. We waited about 15 minutes to get our pizzas and they were HUGE!!! I could not help myself but take a photo with it. I could not wait to sink my choppers in the pizza. Conclusion: toppings are on point. Very fresh ingredients. Sauce is not over overly salty or bland I taste. The biggest complaint was the crust. I honestly would not consider that pizza crust… it was more like hard and puffy cardboard. This kind of killed the fact I was eating a pizza. I ended up eating all the toppers and chucking the crust. My husband was trying to be supportive and did not find it as bad as me but when I voiced my honesty, he agreed. I give this place a 3.5 star review. If you are serious about pizza, this is probably not the best place for you. If you just want to get a quick bite to fill your tummy, this place is suitable.

My favorite mom-and-pop pizza place for lunch!!! I usually get the small size lunch combo special with Canadian bacon as my topping. Its about $ 5-$ 6 and you get a TON of food — a huge slice of pizza(even though its supposed to be a small), a salad, and a medium drink. They tend to get very busy during lunch hours, so call ahead and they will have your order ready for pick up!

I’m giving Ambrose 5 stars because if you’re a poor college student like myself, this place is heaven on earth. You can order a HUGE slice of pizza for under $ 5. I usually order their«mini» pizza slice, which is a little bigger than your average slice of pizza and it’s a little more than $ 2. The pizza here has thick crust which is delicious! I wouldn’t say that this place serves the best pizza in LA/Orange county, but it definitely is the best VALUE pizza. P. S. Come on Tuesday nights at 7pm to play trivia!

Finally tried this place on the recommendation of fellow Unilocaler Christopher M. Eats: large slice of pepperoni pizza and 12″ pastrami sub Takes: I couldn’t wait. I just had to take a bite or let’s be real, several on my way home. And mmm, so good. Such a simple slice of pepperoni pizza done right. The bite of the pepperoni, the ratio of cheese: crust, and the overall slice was sensational! The burst of flavor from that slice temporarily distracted me from the fact that my impatience caused me to slightly burn the roof of my mouth… So Unilocalers, take heed of the box: «hot and delicious» The 12″ pastrami came in two 6″ subs. Quite a hearty sub! Dad and I didn’t start on these until later. The crunch of the bread was a great complement to the slices of pastrami. No dipping sauce needed! Wait time: For the above order, it took 20 mins for the takeout order. Price: around $ 12 in total Location: same center as Superior Parking: shared lot; watch out for those backing up or passing – some don’t stop! Bottom line: Go here for your(large slice) pizza fix! Highly recommended.
