Some of the best pizza in socal. I live for mom and pop spots that bring good service and good, food to match. Smooth experience and the pizza was beyond nom. Would order from here above all else when I’m with friends in the area and need pizza. The cannoli was to die for.

Called in a large order because of the amount they made use a credit card even tho we wanted to pay cash OK. They said our order will be ready in 40min OK. Get there & another 10 – 15 more Alright BUT only to get home & search for the Eggplant Parmesan order & the anchovies that we confirmed over the phone should be on a deluxe pizza. They ran out of the eggplant yet didn’t feel they should let us know & still charged for it NICE! The anchovies no excuses just bad service. And this isn’t the first time, but will be the last

This place has spoiled any other pizza place for me. This is simply the best pizza I have ever had. I don’t know what it is, but it’s so amazing. The rest of the food is good too, but the pizza is their signature item on the menu.

This place has THEWORST costumer service! I wouldn’t waste another dime in this establishment. Food is nothing spectacular, actually nothing more than average. Sometimes average is ok in a pinch, but when you couple that with poor management and staff, it makes easier to go to the hundred other pizza joints out there. Its too bad cause we live so close.

This evening(1÷22÷2016) my wife and I decided to go to Gondolas for dinner. We have not been there in 2 months due to poor performance the last time we ate there. Let me preface my comments by stating that we have been customers of Gondolas for 30 Years. Upon arriving at the restaurant we walked in and noticed 10 non-bussed tables. My wife got in line to order and I sat down at one of the non-bussed tables. I cleaned off the table and then went to the counter to ask for a cloth to wipe it off. After wiping it down, we waited for our food. We ordered our usual, which is garlic and oil spaghetti, antipasto salad and cheese sticks. When the salad arrived, we were told by the server that they were out of silverware. We had our salad, but couldn’t eat due to no silverware available. Seven minutes later our spaghetti arrived. Still no silverware. Our server, who was very apologetic, brought us plastics forks to start our meal. Around the time we finished eating dinner, our bread stick arrived. I was getting very upset and wanted to speak to the manager, but he was at a booth with friends and not available. I went up to the counter and asked to speak to the manager. The manager arrived shortly after my request. I asked if we could go to the banquet area to talk. When we got to their banquet area I asked the manager how he could allow his restaurant to go backwards in service and product. I stated we had been customers for 30 Years. He said that since I was being very condescending, our conversation was over. I’m 66 years old and when I told him that if he continued to run the family business in this manner, they would be gone in 10 years. He then said, «he and the restaurant would be here in ten years, but I surely would not, based on my age.» He then followed me to my table and proceeded to ask my wife and I to leave the restaurant. My final comment is this: I wanted to talk to the manager because I care about the restaurant. The manager kicked the old man out. I must also add that I’m not only a customer, but an experienced restaurant owner who ran an award winning restaurant in Orange County for 15 years. My suggestion is to find a place to dine that respects its customers by having management working and not just sitting on their ass when customers have needs.

These people are the nicest people. I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint. They maintain their friendliness even in the busiest of rushes. There usually is a little bit of a wait but it’s because it’s fresh and tastes great every time. I love this place!

Gondola’s is great pizza but they charged me for a extra topping I didn’t get.(1.75) the register person had a attitude I didn’t like.

I’ll have try the pizza next time but this time I got the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. It didn’t have much flavor and was quite oily. My husband got the calzone. The beef inside was dry and burned. The cheesy bread sticks were good but needed a dipping sauce. Over all it was ok, nothing special.

Oh Gondola… Sunday afternoon(510 pm) I placed a phone order for pick up and selected a Giant pizza, a full order of spaghetti with meatballs, and added 8 extra meatballs because they’re Delicious! I arrived at 545, paid for my order, and was given a status of approx 10 minutes for my order to be completed. While waiting I noticed several customers arrive after me and leave with thier orders similar to mine(pizza and pasta) so I requested an update. I was quoted an additional 5 minutes due to «they’re finishing up on your spaghetti.» A few minutes later a male customer was very upset regarding his order because he waited 20 minutes and was then told the kitchen ran out of spaghetti. Hearing this update, I inquired again on the status of my order. 620 pm, I was now told the kitchen ran out of spaghetti and cannot complete my order. I was offered a refund and a opportunity select another pasta and wait 20 more minutes. Really? I waited 30 minutes in the restaurant after paying for my order before I was told of the spaghetti shortage. Why should any customer have to check on their order 1, 2, 3 times just to walk out with an incomplete order and luke warm pizza? I wasn’t offered a complimentary drink or slice of chocolate cake(as was made to the male customer in front of me.) I ended my conversation with the corner staff and asked if they felt it is ok to waste a person’s time? They didn’t answer me and just simply looked as I left my favorite restaurant in disappointment!

Food is very good-we always get the pizza. But you might as well eat it with a knife and fork because as soon as you bite into it, all of the cheese slides off. My big complaint is the customer service-or lack of. I don’t think anyone smiled and most people were blatantly rude including the bus boy. It was very busy and it took about 10 minutes, after us asking, for someone to clean off a table for us. Very awkward when your party of 4 is standing in the isle in everyone’s way. The horrible customer service will definitely prevent me from coming back.

First time visitor here! So so glad I decided to finally check out this spot. I’ve been dying to find a good Italian spot like Petrillo’s in Glendora. Well I’ve finally found a spot here in La Mirada. Ordered my pizza to go then made the torturous drive home while my mouth watered at the smell coming out of that pizza box. Finally after arriving home I got to sink my teeth into a lil piece of heaven. The pizza was DELICIOUS! After 2 slices you could stick a fork in me cause I was DONE! Those were $ 18 well spent! :)

So my husband and I were in the area shopping, we got hungry and saw this place across the street. We Unilocaled it and saw good reviews so we decided to go in for dinner. This is one of those hole in the wall type of places that the locals know about cause we walked in and it was packed. He went ahead and ordered and I asked 2 guys if we could sit next to them since there was no room any where else. They were friendly and let us sit with them, gave us there cheese, salt and pepper. Our food finally came out, think Carl’s jr. when you eat inside. They give you a # and they bring food out. Asked for ranch dressing for the pizza and they brought us a bowl full, asked for hot sauce and they said we don’t have hot sauce :/(that was a negative for the hubby). I got chicken Alfredo and it was ok, not saucy kind of dry and very Garlicky. I ordered the full order which came with garlic bread and a salad and my husband got the 2 topping individual pizza. I had a slice of his pizza(pepperoni and ham) and it was good. Pros: pizza was yummy, people are friendly(customers and employees), good portions(I have enough leftovers for 2 – 3 more plates) Cons: you bite the pizza and all the cheese an toppings slide off. the Alfredo was dry, got cold quick, no hot sauce, packed, they take a while to clear off tables(30 min+ after the guys next to us left and no clean up. We left and still no clean up) drinks was a long line next to the register and you have to fill up yourself but what I didn’t like was we wanted ice water and the cups they gave us were a joke. They were the size of a shot glass. If we are paying customers give me a real cup, it’s not like I came off the street asking for a free cup. Would we go back? Maybe. Don’t know yet.

I would call my experience«The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly». Okay, more like«The Bad, the Good, and No Ugly»! The Bad: when I called in to place my order, I was on hold for a long time. I ended up hanging up(because I figured they forgot about me) and calling back. I did get through, and I placed my order. Giant pizza with extra cheese and ½ pepperoni. I went to pick it up and they were pretty busy — which explains the long wait on the phone. They took my payment, gave me my pizza and I went home. The Good: the pizza was really good! Good flavor, not swimming in sauce, and TONS of really good cheese! No ugly at all! Go to their website for the coupons! We’ll be going back.

This is delicious pizza. When I came into the shopping center, I immediately thought, «This is not the type of place I want to eat at.» But around the corner from the theatre, meeting friends, and the place already full – plus the Unilocal reviews, helped me to press on. Glad we did. Lots of tables needed to be bussed, but once cleaned, we ordered, then settled in. It didn’t take long for our orders to come up, and for all of us to unanimously give our pizza a thumbs up! I wonder what the other Italian food tastes like…

Oh man, their pizza is worth the drive there! The place is in a shopping center and kind of hard to spot. Looks small from the outside but this place is actually very spacious inside. He’s very packed with families and co workers just hanging out, perfect place for date night too. Their pizzas are simply marvelous and they add whole roasted garlic to your pizza or freshly chopped garlic upon request. My husband highly recommends the lasagna.

Wow a reuniting. Way back in the early 80’s shortly after I moved back to CA as a teenager I lived not far down the street in Whittier and me and my pops would go to Gondola Pizza for some after golf pie n sudz. I do remember it being smaller then. Kinda looks like they expanded a bit since then. But some things haven’t changed much. A decent value, mega toppings, cold brews and a pretty dedicated local clientele. The strip mall its located in has seen better days but you there for the pie not the strip mall with a sushi place, a Vietnamese restaurant, Sewing machine repair shop, a barber and a Marshalls. Inside, well lets say that Gondola is not there to charm you either. Pretty Spartan with little décor. As you walk in you’ll be herded into the center aisle for ordering, place your order find a booth and await yer pie. As we(me n 3 kiddos) waited in line I saw a couple pizzas go by that had a ½ & ½ dealio. Many pizza places frown on this but Gondola has no problems with it. Perfect when you have kids with dissimilar tastes. Still the pricing is kind of weird for split pies so beware. We ordered a ½ Hawaiian(Canadian bacon and pineapple) with jalapeño and ½ pepperoni sausage and mushrooms. Got ½ pie toppings… strange pricing half topping 3.90 /half topping 1.85 /half topping 3.85WTF? The taste… here is where the rubber hits the road. While Gondola is big(monster) on toppings it is a bit weak on taste. The crust has a biscuit kind of taste. Ever had one of those 1st grade biscuit pizzas? Same taste. I am a sausage fan but even though they put a mountain of the porky stuff on it has little sausage taste. The sauce is very weak too. Overall, well it looks much better than it tastes. I really wanted this be my new go-to pizza place but a gondola is a slow boat, I want a speed boat.

First time here. long time lurker. Ah pizza, the many variations you come in. some cheap, some very overpriced and well some that just tend to hit the mark. Well, that is what Gondola Pizza aims to be and so far its working. Came by last night after watching Jurassic World and figured we needed something to fill our stomachs after watching Ind. Rex eat all the other dinosaurs! We did carryout and ordered our Large pizza with 3 toppings. Pep, Sausage & Garlic. After looking at other reviews/pictures it seemed to me that there sausage was dominant for a reason and now I know why. the amount of meat ratio is ridiculous for what Id expect in a pizza and its worth the cost *prices range from $ 10 – 23 depending on the size* but its the ingredients they use that justify that cost. Sure I did notice sauce was a little light but I didnt care less considering how heavy the pizza was already from the toppings. The girls at the front counter seemed very friendly even though we were there just to pickup but we were given a good fair share of customer service. Yes I did notice that big groups tend to come here(sports teams, dancers, etc) so just be prepared that youre not going here for a romantic evening but more of a family outing restaurant. I cant wait to try more of their varieties like the seafood pizza with crab meat and shrimp to their interesting cold sandwiches full of Italian deli meats. They do serve wine/beer. although I wouldve liked to see some Italian beer on draft to pair with the meals they create but Im just nitpicking at this point. Check online for their specials and $ 1 pizzas. it does help!

I can’t believe that I didn’t try Gondola Pizza after living in La Mirada for a few years. I should have come sooner. I am quite surprised with the good quality restaurants in this pretty run down strip mall. The clientele is a strange cross of families and locals from the bar next door. It’s definitely not a first date location. You order at the counter and you can either take your food to go or get a number and they’ll bring your order to you. Back to the food. I ordered the large portion of the FETTUCINIALFREDO. The large came with soup or salad and a piece of garlic bread. I chose the soup which is MINESTRONE. It WASTHEBEST I’VEEVERHAD, very rich and creamy for a vegetable soup. I would come and just order a bowl of it. The garlic bread was also pretty good. The large pasta was a hefty portion. It became lunch and a snack for the next day. It was full of garlic flavor and super cheesy. My companion ordered the large meatball sub. He really liked it. He ate half there and also took the other half for lunch the next day. The waitresses were nice and came by a few times to check on us. Lastly, there’s plenty of free parking in the strip mall lot.

We’ve been going to Gondolas for as long as I remember. Located in a strip mall, it is definitely a diamond in the rough. Gondolas is not a fancy place, but it is clean and always busy. There’s a huge menu on the wall, you place your order at the counter and pay. Find a seat and they’ll bring your food to you. There are booths on the sides and big tables down the middle. The workers are always friendly and service is fast. I usually call our order in for carryout, today we ate in. We ordered a large pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza($ 16.80), half order of Penne Al Forno($ 8.95), baked penne with meat sauce, ricotta & mozzarella cheese. Half order of spaghetti & a large meatball($ 8.15) along with salad and garlic bread. The pizzas are wonderful, thick and cheesy. Pastas so rich and creamy served in large portions. Drinks are self-service. No delivery service, just tons of carryout orders all the time. If you want a great family restaurant this is the place to go! Closed on Mondays. Arrivederci!
