I have been coming here for about a 1.5 years when I decided that I wanted to loose weight and live a healthier life. Ed was the person that I dealt with and he was very patient and helpful. I had alot of questions and he took his time in answering them all. He even gave me directions on how to train and eat to achieve my goals. I went from 297 and currently weight 220 with a goal to gain more muscles. I have only worked with Ed so I cannot comment on anyone else that works there. I can probably save a little bit of money if I ordered supplements online. But the support and information I get from Ed is worth the extra cost. Im a customer for life.

Store is supposed to open at 10:30. Got there at 10:45 and they were still closed. Wth.

Came here bought to buy a pre workout. Guy with the vneck and dyed blonde yugio haircut sold me the product. I didn’t bother opening the pre workout right then and there since I would assume it hasn’t been opened. Went home to use the pre workout and when I took off the lid the seal was already off! The pre workout was hard as a rock. So I go back to the store of course to exchange it for a new one. And instead of «oh wow I’m so sorry about that» the blonde said «I can’t return that for you». He stated people open them all the time even in front of him and that its my fault and basically out of luck. So I’m there thinking why would he still let them be on the shelf. At that point it wasn’t even worth arguing I just took the product and walked out. Cool hair guy

According to the FTB of California the sales tax in La Mirada is 10%. So they are charging the correct amount. I can understand the confusion when some cities only charge 9% even though they are in LA county as well. It varies by city.

Great shop. Clean, organized, and well kept. The guy that works there named Rob was very knowledgeable about the products at the store. He understood what I was looking for and also recommended supplements that were in my budget. Honest and helpful people here. I got results in the gym so I obviously Rob knew what was up. Stop by and try the place.

Purchased some protein at this location and noticed that they charged me 10% sales tax. Los Angeles County sales tax is 9%, but when I called, salesman Rob, informed me that it has been «10% forever.» This is incorrect.
I’m going to contact the Better a Business Bureau to inform them that Max Muscle is making extra money off of every purchase. It’s not a lot for one person, but if they do this for everyone, I’m sure they make a nice chunk of change on top of every purchase.
I will no longer be patronizing this establishment and urge you to do the same.

My first visit was ok. Normal sales pitch.
On my next visit, I tried to return a product that made me sick. They said they couldn’t do anything for me since I already opened it. They didn’t even make an attempt to fix the situation by offering me an exchange or store credit. I was told to just sell it somewhere else.
They lost my business forever.

The staff here, especially the owner Eddie is extremely patient and knowledgeable, he will take the time to listen to what results you want and tell you what you need to get there. He is very honest and will not up sell you. I was very impressed with the knowledge and time he took to explain to me about the supplements I was purchasing! Definitely a customer for life!

I used to like shopping here for my supplements, but lately when I go in, the 2 parking spaces are occupied, I’m the only person in the store, they NEVER have the products I’m looking for, and they NEVER seem to know when those products will be restocked. Additionally, they always try talking me into other products that I’ve been finding are discontinued the next time I visit the store.
It amazes me that this place stays in business.

I used to be impressed that the guy at the hamburger joint knew my order as soon as I drive up.
Now I have to come here.
I’m way more impressed that these guys know what I need. Even when someone from another store is covering, I feel comfortable and confident that I’ll be well taken care of

AWSOME!!! First time going to the store and met Ed. Awsome guy didnt make me feel stupid nor pressured to buy anything. Answered all my question with no problems. I will return for all my supplements!!!

Great products, and Ed the owner is a great guy. My boy Rob knows what he’s selling and will not up-​sell you on anything. Good people selling good supplements. Keep it up fellas!!!

Very helpful and friendly staff. They help you build your own program. Also recommend products based on your goals, body type, etc. Also they only sell high quality products. No cheap, loaded with fillers, and other toxic crap that you find at the regular stores. Remember its your body. Why give it garbage. Give it the best you can get.

This place is LEGIT.
I have been coming here on and off (because of relocation) for 8 years. The staff is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and they have helped me with meal plans and workout routines with no hesitation. They know their supplements very well and can recommend what you should get based upon the results you want to achieve.
I have never got the feeling of them up selling me, in fact I am always asking what else can I get (its like a candy store for me). You get the «well if you want to pay more you can get abc, but xyz is cheaper and has the same results.»
