BRAZILDOESNOTHAVETACOS, ORGORDITAS, ORTAMALES, ORBURRITOS. I am trying to understand why they would name it that way. I was looking for brazilian food in nola, but found this site instead. wth. I find it funny that a lot of the reviewers on here said«this is good authentic food». AKA Greg M’s comments: «where you can feast on some authentic Brazilian tacos, burritos, & tamales.» AREYOUFREAKINGKIDDINGME! You have obviously never been to Brazil if you were serious when you wrote that. Sorry for the rant, but so sad that people would actually write ignorant comments like that. I’ll tell you what is authentic Brazilian food. You ready?! The best PIZZA you will ever have, The best HOTDOG you will ever have, strogonoff, awesome sandwiches, black rice and white beans, sausages, steak, great salads, delicious cheese, fantastic pastries, all sorts of fruit drinks, fruit and every flavor of gelatto you could possibly think of. Oh yeah, and great fried food. Thanks mates!

Excellent and well beyond expectations. Go. It’s hard to find good Mexican or Latin style authenticity in New Orleans I believe. This place delivers. I wish I was there now.

Seriously delicious food; flavorful and filling. We had the quesadilla/burrito(they have their own name for it that I’ll butcher if I try to remember it) in veggie/pico de gallo/pineapple as well as chicken. The side sauces are piquant and fresh. The fish tacos were amazing. We arrived at 7p on a Saturday. It was empty so service was quick but there was no music contrary to their website ad. I hope this place survives, but opening at 7pm for food doesn’t sound like a good business model.

Great food! Between the table, we shared shrimp tacos, beef tacos, pineapple pork tacos, & a pineapple pork quesarito. Everything was delicious but I have to say the pineapple pork taco was my absolute fave. They also had good caipirinhas! Other than the noise level being a bit high for a restaurant experience, the ambience was lively & the service was great! I initially went in with a groupon but prices were reasonable. Will def be going back!

Spoiler alert: Brazil Taco Truck is NOT a truck, but rather a rustic little Brazilian bar/restaurant in the colorful Frenchman Street area where you can feast on some authentic Brazilian tacos, burritos & tamales. The shrimp taco bowl was loaded with shrimp, jicama, rice & cilantro. The pork tamale was great, as well. All fresh & delicious. Oh, Bobby makes a killer Caipirinha, too!

No complaints! ! The food was very delicious and authentic. Drinks were awesome and they even had a live jazz band performing while we were enjoying our meal. Prices were very reasonable and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The bartender was very welcoming, pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the food and drink selections. Not to mention it’s right near Frenchmen St. so that’s a plus. We recommend this place to anyone who’s open to trying new foods and is looking to go somewhere to relax and enjoy some delicious food and drinks in a reserved atmosphere. Hope you enjoy!

This hole in the wall bar/restaurant is just off Frenchman Street. Sunday night after Jazzfest we needed to eat. Every place on Frenchman had 1 – 2 hr wait, at 930pm we were famished. Finally I saw a band setting up, so asked a band member if he knew of any local places, close, off Frenchman. He suggested Brazil Taco Truck. At first we were leary, the place was pretty empty. The service was painfully slow. But once we were there, we were very happy we stayed. Not only was the food delicious and abundant, but the band playing was wonderful to listen to! Unfortunately, I do not remember the name, but the female singer had a great voice. The place picked up and by the time we left was pretty full. For the 4 of us, dinner was $ 75. No bill, just the waitress came over BEFORE our food arrived and stated, «that will be $ 75». We had 4 entrees, 4 beers and an appetizer. The food specials were pretty authentic Brazilian.(my husband is from Paraguay and has lived in Brazil so he should know). The beans were tasty, the cracklins on the green salad was delicious! The rice was pretty plain. The potato salad was fresh and tasty. The meat was a tad dry(both my steak and my friend’s chicken) but had good flavor. They also had tacos and other stuff on the menu that was under $ 10. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and pleased by this little bar/restaurant and would likely return on a trip down to Frenchmen St.
