5÷15÷14, re: Owner Response: While I appreciate the difficulty of David Coxe’s job(as I stated above, who hasn’t been left in an awkward position by an irresponsible tenant… and the previous tenant was a very bad one), I still stand behind my review. The implication that we were«denied tenancy» is wrong. In fact, we never followed up with this apartment because of its extremely poor condition and what we found to be inappropriate remarks, made by the property manager himself. We saw this apartment on Craigslist, made the appointment with David(giving him only my name and phone number), and my review above reflects our experience with him. He did give us an application, which we did not intend to fill out or return to him. I would like to note that the original review was not poor because of the condition of the property(not his fault), but more of a review of the business owner’s attitude, as we remembered it. He did not leave a good impression, and I still stand by my review. Aside from the gentle implication that we are hurt, undesirable tenants(we aren’t, and have landlord recommendations to prove it), I was also sent a private Unilocal message from a «David C.» not long after my review was posted: – Subject: Didn’t know you were so self important Body: Either you remove your posting or I shall have an attorney contact you and file a slander suit against you. You know nothing about my business and I truly do not care about your opinion. — I think property owners should understand the level of professionalism that is demonstrated by the person who manages their property and interacts with their tenants and potential tenants. Certainly, Coxe management is right for some people, and they have glowing reviews to show it. Our experience was not one of the glowing ones, and that is regrettable.
