Ok. maybe the customer service is not as great as it could be, but this place has the best selection of hair products for us black girls who like long hair. I go to get my extensions here and I love that they have a very large selection of different styles bc this girl likes to look different all the time… they also have a very very large selection of hair relaxers and bling for the hair… definitely a keeper, just know what you’re going there for.

There is an abundant selection, but if you care about a certain level of customer service, professionalism and competitive pricing, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! They rarely give you itemized receipts for your purchases (I suspect they wouldn’t want someone to come back to dispute what they were charged), no pricing whatsoever on certain types of braiding hair, won’t allow exchanges, and God help you if you have a question! I understand the reasoning behind not wanting to refund a purchase, but come on, no exchanges? Really?!?
Everyone I have ever encountered working at this place had some kind of attitude, like smiling or showing genuine interest in helping a customer would cause their heads to explode! I don’t get it, and for that reason I’ll be taking my money to one of the hundreds of other beauty supply stores around the city (there’s actually one on Caton St. (not two minutes away), Franklin Ave. & Miro, and on St. Claude & Elysian Fields). NO RETURNS. This store has the worst return policy. They do not allow you to return any chemical products sealed or otherwise. I bought a bottle of hair spray for $ 10 and later that day found the same product for $ 5 at another store. Tried to return the first bottle and the woman refused. While I was telling the clerk I would no longer be patronizing the store, one of the other employees told me to «stop trippin» and that it was only $ 4. WTF? The Asian lady at the register just stood there and allowed the confrontation.
Another time I went to return a pack of hair that I did not use (was not open) and the lady accused me of stealing hair out of the pack, saying that it was smaller than the other packs hanging on the shelf. Why I went in there a second time for the hair spray I don’t know. I guess it’s because of the «huge variety» the review below talks about. But to be overcharged AND disrespected by an employee. That will NOT happen again.

Huge selection! Ms. Eve is helpful too (but please GET OFF OF YOUR IPHONE while helping customers). Seriously.
They have wigs, weaves, braiding hair, curling– and flat irons. They have all manner of dyes, lotions and hair potions. They also have a decent selection of summer shoes (flip flops/​sandals) as well as beautiful fashion and rhinestone jewelry and hair-​flair. This will be my go-​to place for all things hair!
